    Lol they aren’t optimized for SHIT. I went as far as to do my Far Cry 5 play through on PS4. I know how they are on PC games. I have around 500+ Steam games. I’m also a HUGE retro gamer... emulators and shit.

    Yep. We’ve discussed this prior. Lol. I’ve had such good results for 7 years, hard to even wanna part with my CPU. But it’s time. Maybe the 4770k will buy me a year or two. I’ll get an RTX GPU. Then afterwards, spring for a new mobo and a newer CPU. Also yep. Never OC’d anything. I still see pretty amazing results from “new” games. FAR better than a console. FAR higher resolution too. 1440p.

    Happy to buy from a board user what games? I mean, whatever is the game of the week I suppose. To this day, the PS4/XB1 can’t hold a candle to my “old” setup. The GTX 1070 will obviously need an upgrade shortly after “next gen”. Maybe the RTX 2070 would suffice for a bit later. Mainly wanted my 7 year old PC upped a bit.

    So, instead of replacing the whole deal, you suggest the 4770k? What kind of performance improvements can I expect? I can still game on “high” at 1440p. So how much better eh?

    Huh? Why would I need a ram/mobo replacement? I’ve upgraded before and never needed a whole new mobo. It’s an Asus Maximus hero VII

    Had this CPU for years. It’s time to let go. What should I get to replace? Any good deals? my GPU is a GTX 1070 and I’m not ready to ditch it just yet.

    What is FFVII? Some type of Japanese RPG? First to tell you all, those types of games will never be big in the US. Just not the audience for those types of games. Shocked they have 6 game prior to VII. Likely all were localized out East only.

    Cyberpunk will run on it obviously. But hell, be happy to get console quality med/30fps/1080p. You’re absolutely correct in needing an upgrade. I’m still going to hold out for a super good deal in 2021 on a 2070ti or 2080

    Not sure why I figured 980 vs 1070 was almost similar. Maybe I’m thinking TI version? Not sure. But yep. Time to upgrade. Simple as that

    Looked up my card vs yours. It is quite a substantial upgrade, more than I figured. Frames differ as much as 40 to 70 compared between the two. So now, I’m more in agreement with you upgrading. This test was on Origins, but same engine as odyssey anyhow

    Never ran it on PC. Only on PS4. The minimum is a damn 660 and recommended is a 970 I would be interested to see how my 1070 runs it. But just by looking, seems it would run almost maxed. Maybe turn down some AA

    Thought Redbox axed games from its coke machine. Hmmm. For $25 I’d buy it just because. But having played it myself for 2-3 hours, it really is a UPS simulator. I can accept its vision and what it wants to be. I can also try and get into it. But not for $60.

    Fact. This is my #1 game EVER made. maybe it’s nostalgia as it’s also the first game I recall playing However, I’ve completed the game well over 50 times on every platform Nintendo has put it on basically and it still holds up.
