  1. Look. It made me uneasy ok šŸ˜‹ darkness and the voices those shadow idiots use and shit like that lol
  2. Curious what those are? Speaking for myself, I can ā€œbasicallyā€ max everything out at 1440p and get 60fps. Iā€™ve never over clocked my CPU or GPU as you know.
  3. I am curious what Cyberpunk 2077 will need to be played on med/high settings in 1440p.
  4. Thought this too Cnut. Your card isnā€™t far from mine. A 980 is still a powerful card because games are catered to shit specs of consoles and lower spec machines. Iā€™m feeling 2021 for my 1070 at this point. Iā€™ll get a CPU before then, but by 2021 Iā€™ll snag a 2080 or whatever on the cheap (or something comparable)
  5. Might try it tonight. For fun. But all be damn if I catch temps even in the late 60ā€™s Iā€™ll freak out. I am honestly shocked my CPU has lasted this long at bog standard. Shows me that even today, games arenā€™t catered to even a spec of my CPU/GPU. Itā€™s all based on consoles and lower spec machines. Iā€™ll be fine for a while on my GPU I feel. Snag a CPU next year maybe and then get a GPU in 2021 or so.
  6. This. I enjoyed restrictions and thinking ā€œok man. Gotta get this license or Iā€™m stuckā€ I felt Accomplished when I mastered what felt like an impossible test. Iā€™ve spent HOURS retrying tests and man I became a drivers test God getting gold on those bitches. It felt amazing to conquer it and then see all these new races open up for me. Felt like a true badass
  7. GT3 is the epitome of PS2 era for me. Graphics like no one had ever seen. That career mode was absolutely overwhelming. License test out the asshole (which maybe Iā€™m in the minority but I love) Nissan Skyline fully decked out was my shit
  8. I never gave the combat a second thought. I felt it fine. Nothing amazing, but nothing that took me from the narrative. Iā€™ve not even touched American Nightmare. But my God did I have a blast in this game. Weird part is, bought it launch day and Iā€™m a giant vagina so I was scared at the start and stopped playing šŸ˜‹ But I managed to stop being afraid of games over the years and completed it in 2019 on Steam. Was sad it only took like 15 hours, but is what it is. Great game.
  9. Nah. Maybe one of those tiny intel fans that are the size of a Cheez-It
  10. Actually not even sure I used a fan hmm. Perhaps just a heat sink. Genuinely forget
  11. I recall taking off the keyboard and looking at the mobo and such. But in 2007, I couldnā€™t have told you what thermal paste was. On old 486 builds where I installed CPUā€™s I never used it. Iā€™m guessing it wasnā€™t required šŸ˜‚ just used a heat sink and fan
  12. Iā€™m a temp FREAK and above 60c makes me sad šŸ˜ž I once had a $2500 laptop a decade ago (Toshiba X205) that somehow got messed up and would IDLE at 80c and under load was 99c before it shut down and burned out eventually I remember buying laptop fans and canned air etc to no avail. Guess had I known I would have put new thermal paste on the CPU (not honestly sure if thatā€™s possible on a laptop)
  13. Whatā€™s your thoughts? 1.25V as mentioned above? The voltage thing scares me the most. You can legit fuck up your computer
  14. Mad love for anyone who didnā€™t forget about Alan Wake and Heavy Rain!!!!! 1. Heavy Rain 2. Red Dead Redemption (360) 3. Witcher 3 4. Fallout 4 5. Skyrim 6. Toy Story 3 (eat shit. This game was boss) 7. Alan Wake (so damn underrated) 8. GTA V 9. Life is Strange 10. Days Gone
  15. I miss old GT games. Games 1-3 was where it was at for me. Oddly enough I LOVE the license test. Canā€™t tell you how many times I grinded for money on the Sunday Cup in GT2 too.
  16. What? The first dragon? Like the one in the main quest thatā€™s like Quest number 3? šŸ˜‹ cmon now
  17. This was my thought. No idea why Iā€™m replaying it again for the 100th time. Sunk many hours into it on 360/PC a decade ago and every now and then Iā€™d boot it up and get lost. But for some reason Iā€™m BACK like itā€™s 2011 and have well over 30+ hours into my new play through on the ā€œremasteredā€ version on PC. Iā€™m surprisingly making real progress and also have like 25% of the cheavos, which is a lot for me in a Skyrim type game.
  18. Ok. So you suggest putting 4GHz and seeing how it runs, then maybe try 4.4 with 1.25v then? Hoping heat doesnā€™t become an issue. My CPU when maxed under full load is around 55-60c. Itā€™s a nice temp that makes me happy.
  19. Not a bad price for that CPU. Thatā€™s about what I paid for mine. I need to over clock my current CPU to see what happens. My own fear that Iā€™m unsure of is changing voltages or even if thatā€™s needed for my 4670k
  20. Never had AMD CPU. That scares me for some reason. I have 16gb ram as is and itā€™s fine for now. You linked a MOBO and I have a Asus Maximus VII. No need to mess with that Iā€™m assuming
