I’m not at Krauser (more like arouser) yet, but Ashley and Luis have more banter with Leon in this version than the original I think. If you backtrack and look for treasures Ashley will comment on them and ask if you’ll flip them when you pass the merchant. You can bring both of them to the shooting gallery and they’ll react to how you’re doing. Ashley specifically seems like her relationship with Leon is more than just being doe eyed. And I dunno about Ada, she always felt like she came from another game, with her preposterous dress and matrix fight with Leon. Salazar feels like less of a comic character for sure, I do miss his bizarre Napoleon vibes.

I don’t think there’s enough time to wait for that at the end of 1-A, which is ironically the hardest one to get the bonus silver medals. And in the ones with the TMP, even when the reticule is tight, there’s still a decent amount of spread.

A couple observations about the shooting gallery: 1) Sometimes to get all the medals you're dependent on RNG bullet spread. The only way to finish quick enough to get the bonus points you need is to shoot something at a distance where the bullet might miss completely or not hit the smaller bit of the target. I just finished 2-C and it took me maybe 15 tries where the strategy was solid but the TMP and RNGesus didn't bless me until the last attempt. Getting S ranks is pretty easy so far, it's just that last star for the bonus silver medal can be a real drag. 2) Prizes from the charm gumball machine seem to be locked. I dunno if it's the same for everyone on each run or if there's random seed per run, etc. But if you buy 10, 3 gold medal prizes from the machine then reload and try again, you'll get the same 10 prizes if you use 3 gold medals again. Same for every combination of medals. So you could presumably save scum to see when you get specific charms you're looking for, then reload to save medals if the ones after that aren't interesting, or dupes, etc. The game does seem to be honest when it says more gold medals get you better prizes, but what you get is NOT randomly determined every time you buy something.

When there's an imbalance of power and the comparatively underprivileged group asks the privileged group to stop doing or saying something, the immediate response is something akin to, "if I am told I cannot do / say one thing, it's the first bit of pavement on the road that leads to me not being able to do / say anything; this is the actual problem." See this topic, see comedians complaining about cancel culture, see the annual panic about "not being able to say Merry Christmas anymore," etc. I've for sure posted the "didn't read lol" gif with the black guy dancing and holding chicken, I've definitely quoted other black memes; I don't think it's ever really occurred to me that it's potentially problematic. Which is funny because I don't think I'd say, "hide yo kids, hide yo wife," aloud IRL. Implicit bias is a bitch.

The lack of focus is a feature and not a bug. And again, besides, I’d wager there are more “mythology / plot” episodes in Mando so far than there were in the first 50 X-Files episodes.

Again I am begging people to remember that even though this is ostensibly prestige television, some of the best episodes of long running shows have little to nothing to do with "the plot" and indeed many wonderful shows barely have "a plot" at all. The X-Files, Quantum Leap, Star Trek TNG, the list goes on and on on and on.

I’m just gonna say this about Jonathan Majors and be done with it: folks at Yale and the broader NYC community have known about him for years. He’s a sociopath and abuser and that is how virtually everyone speaks about him. It’s a shame it took this long for him to be reported. But what if this is only happening because she wanted a payday and what it it turns out that she has a troubled past herself and whatnot
