  1. Most of the 2020/2021 games are 3rd party devs making games for Xbox Series X. They can target just the Series X. Things like Scorn and The Medium both said they were just going to be next gen only. Microsoft got a lot of hate for this philosphy, but from what I can see, the reason they went this route, is the games that will be releasing in 2020/2021 were all in development awhile ago anyway. 2021 maybe a cross-gen Forza Horizon 5 by Playground, with 2022 being a proper Forza Motorsport.
  2. If it's true, they should just delay the entire project until next Spring. I understand wanting to ship something to launch the new console, but at the end of the day, its your #1 IP, don't rush it. Get it right and ship it when it's ready. With Covid, people aren't going to kill you for delaying a game, but they will for releasing a rushed incomplete game.
  3. First party they stated should be cross gen for next few years, so I assume through Holiday 2021 most likely. I think its why most of the newer games didn't have gameplay, they are still pretty early in development, and will probably start releasing 2022. All just guesses though.
  4. It also didn't list Xbox One as a platform I don't think, so might be 2022, as they said games would be cross platform for a few years.
  5. The Initiative is very much a real studio working on its own IP, rumored to be the Perfect Dark reboot. It has acquired some of the top talent from top devs over the years. I highly doubt they are just a support studio.
  6. You're forgetting The Initiative, which is supposedly Microsoft's most ambitious studio. Microsoft has 15 studios I believe. And inXile confirmed their next project already. https://www.purexbox.com/news/2020/05/inxile_confirms_it_will_use_unreal_engine_5_for_xbox_series_x_rpg
  7. Initiative as well. I'm excited about the slate of games and diversity of games. InXile is also said to be working on a AAA Unreal Engine RPG as well. All on Game Pass Day 1. I think the fact so many 1st party games are so early is why MS said the next few years will be cross gen, cause the titles coming out in next few years will be smaller projects. Looking at the roadmap today I'm not sure what games would be ready for release next year. I think they may lean on 3rd party partnerships for the next year or so until their new acquisitions are ready to release starting 2022.
  8. My main complaint is lack of gameplay, meaning the vast majority of.these projects are probably 2022 or later. It is kind of expected as a lot of the studios MS bought had recently released a game or deep in production of a game, so most projects would be early. Even Forza they said is early in development, which seems odd since they skipped last year's Forza.
  9. Not enough gameplay again, most of their new titles still seem really early to not have any gameplay to show. I think the games announced interest me a lot, but lack of gameplay leaves it really lackluster. Sony didn't show a ton of Gameplay either, but most people know what to expect from Spiderman and HZD2 gameplay. People dont know what to expect from Fable, Everwild, Avowed, ect. Sony also just launched TLoU2 and Ghost, 2 amazing games. Microsoft should've had more ready to go to showcase. Overall another disappointment in terms of a show. Still excited for most the games announced, just not enough to show of it.
  10. I found this trailer to be a nice surprise. Looks really interesting. Those Mech's look badass.
  11. I played the 1st Dragon Quest when it was mailed to me as a Freebie from Nintendo Power, and that made me fall in love with RPGs. Never played a Dragon Quest since I don't think, unless maybe on Gameboy.
