  1. Constitution says freedom of press not freedom of unqualified assclowns.
  2. There's a verse in the Book of Mormon that talks about a great and abonimable church that is the "whore of all the Earth". Through the 80s among mormons it was common knowledge that this meant the Catholic church. They've softened that stance since they've found common political cause however.
  3. Turns out my cousin is a chode. Yesterday was our grandmother's 85th birthday. She lives in an assisted living facility. As you can imagine they don't allow regular visits during this time. But, they will allow small gatherings on the outside of the facility on their patio with some strict rules in place: Masks at all times, social distancing, only two at a time speaking with her at a table with a glass divider, etc. So some of my cousins show before our grandmother comes outside. And the one in question is talking with his siblings about masks and shit and how everything is fake. One of his sisters is a school teacher. I didn't catch all their convo but he was talking about how he saw a picture in a school with kids holding on to a rope (the rope was used to mark every six feet so the kids knew to stay that far apart). "They did the same thing to slaves." Every time a worker came out he made a big show of putting on his mask. And when they went back in he made a big show about taking it off. I overheard him talking about "protesters" (he used air quotes) and you can tell what he thinks of them by the air quotes. And the [completely expected, in retrospect] kicker: I see his water bottle. It has a lone sticker on it with a quote going in a circle. "Where we go one we go all" with a Q in the center. That side of my family has always had a conservative leaning but he's definitely the craziest one now. This is the first time I've seen them in at least a year. And we all live within 45 min of each other. Nowhere to vent except here, unfortunately.
  4. Haha when I saw you chose the Washington date I was thinking 'does he live in Northern Idaho or something?' Was going to tell you to just make a trip to SLC and go with me.
  5. For some reason I had the impression that you lived in SoCal. Where do you actually live?
  6. They'll still be able to play all the games that people who have the Series X will so...
  7. If it was MS store then you aren't charged until the item ships. This is different than all the other retailers. What if you go to your MS account and look at your order history? Anything there?
  8. A couple guys on here pre-ordered multiple for their fellow D1Pshits...
  9. I get the appeal of standing in line. I've lined up for every Halo release. It's fun going to an event like that. I worked at the previously mentioned game store when Halo 2 released. I asked for that night off so I could stand in line with people even though I could have just got the game ahead of everybody. But I think I do prefer the online method for consoles tbh.
  10. So I guess big box retailers and not game stores are the answer, then.
  11. Walmart was the same thing. It seems like it won't be shipped until release day through them. Don't know for sure.
  12. Digital waiting room? Or are you in a store in line or something?
  13. Are you a fellow Series X purchaser? Got mine through MS too. I got an email confirmation with estimated delivery on the 10th of November. I'll post if I get any updates or delays.
