Out of curiosity I went to check my quest completion data on Breath of the Wild… and holy shit, I was not credited as having completed the game…… apparently I never completed the game on Switch and instead had done it on my WiiU file… so sure enough took the file as it was and headed to Hyrule castle.. First things first: Guardians, we definitely lost something in TOTK with them being gone… In trying to rush to the fight I got ping ponged back and forth between 3 of them..activated Daruk and Revali to solve that… anyhow the Champions attack cutscene and battle with Calamity Ganon were great with the nice variety of attacks… a little bit of menu healing (still the most overpowered ability along with midfight teleport) and I beat the game… Just this small tasted makes me feel that the game will not be obsolete to me… plus I need to conquer the DLC

actually what has been pleasantly surprising has been some of the anime suits that can be recreated with proper combination of colors

Im not too big of a fan of the depths.. the motif is redundant so exploring is mostly meh… honestly to me an unsung MVP for making the map more enjoyable has been the caves.. they are so varied and have so many navigation gimmicks that they are a fun exploration each time… I also love that there is a check mark system for tracking them as well the fact that the game gives you 2 methods for “discovering caves is also well thought out given how concealed some are.. about the only downside is some watery/slippery walls and the more limited enemy variety in there

finish it.. its helpful to do so.. for completion purposes and because eventually you “crest” over the challenge of the game thus making the final quest too easy (which you already may have).. best to do it as the “new-ness” is still there as opposed to being another casual box to check off

I did too, I was so afraid of the stigma of having that on my record… opposite of that was that within 1 year credit companies were much more welcoming than I expected.. the knowledge that I had gone bankrupt meant they knew I had no existing debt seemingly making me seem like a good investment.. Honestly the only “consequence” I got was that some bills/creditors wanted automatic preset payments instead of the regular billing because of my history.. in a quickly automating world it wasnt a big deal

Sorry didnt mean to confuse.. my small complaint with the companions is that in a battle when you are trying to use one of their abilities in a fight they seemingly run away or disregard Link.. the whistling as they are in a battle does tell them to disengage whatever theyre doing and come to Link… its not made up, its one of the hints the game gives..

The thing is the game has a mechanic where you can press down on d-pad and summon them to you… same as you would whistle for a horse.. I have the instances if frustration where they seemingly and deliberately run from you

Challenge is fun as long as its fair.. if its crappy artificial difficulty then no.. or challenges that force you to play unnaturally and break the “immersion”

Well, I finished the main quest “beat” the game.. I just hit this narrative momentum point where I felt pushed to see it out.. theres something in the structure of how the narrative quest works where it feels like filler busywork (its not a continuous feel but you know it when youre in it) doesnt matter the curiosity just thrusts you forward…

yup its what accelerated me uncovering the map… in hindsight I perhaps shouldnt have done it that way, or perhaps the game should have doled out that information in increments.. I guess they dont cause it contradicts the “freedom” of the game

As Link works to assemble his infinity gauntlet I must say the Gorons and Rito remain the favorites as far as the last 3 games is concerned… shame they didnt expand on Twilight Princess Sumo

Just ran into that exact issue where I felt like a dummy for necessitating and using created items to resolve the last 2 switches.. but its almost hinted that crafted items are part of the designed solution.. even then I know that in certain parts I didn't abide by the intended design

DC has no luck with this movie fan service cameo/easter egg already being spoiled.. the fight for clicks has really gone into we dont care mode really looking forward to this.. we shall see how much of the overall Keaton bats has already been shown.. curious for the Flash and Batfleck (non-Snyder) as well
