Curious: how many credit cards do y’all have? I currently have four, but two of them are essentially non-functional (Apple Card that I only ever used to finance my MacBook and a bank card that I just had to use to avoid having it closed out). That leaves my Chase (daily use) and CapitalOne (big purchases). My wife and I are going to open a new Chase with a 0%/15 month intro offer so we can transfer and consolidate our bigger balances, but the idea of having a fifth card (even though I don’t use them all) still feels a little bad.

Some additional context: I've been crazy busy with school and starting a new job; after next week I only have one class in July (down from two each term since September), then I have no classes in August. My new job also has a robust summer Friday schedule which gives me six additional days off this summer (two each in June, July, August). I hope to binge the rest of the summer.

Oh, and now that Cyberpunk is functional on the PS5 that is really appealing as well.

I'm like...40 hours into Elden Ring? Made it to the Capital at a relatively low level (~70ish), had since started traversing around trying to get stronger. I have a weird materials gap to bridge (I have upgrade materials that I can't use until I upgrade further) and I left off in Nokron (beat the Mimic Tear boss, haven't found the ashes yet). It's been long enough since I played it that I'm dreading jumping back in and trying to orient myself again. I forget where I left off in Metroid Dread but I'd estimate I'm about 70-80% through it, right around when you get the ice missiles (I forget if I have them yet). I think I dropped it at a tough EMMI section. Another game I really want to get back to, but the thought of it sounds like a pain in the ass. I have the Hitman trilogy on PS5 and I really want to play it but the amount of content almost seems overwhelming, and I never seem to have enough time to truly learn/understand the maps the way they need to be in order to make the game fun. KOTOR is burning a hole in my Switch, especially since it now has KOTOR II (which I never played, and having the cut content restored sounds awesome). Always itching for a new game, especially something fun and goofy. I don't know what to play this summer lol.

Absolutely on the PS4. It’s incredible that they got it to work on the Switch, but the downgrade in visuals is significant enough that I don’t think anyone should opt for that version if they have another option available.

Our movie choice is ‘Some Like It Hot’, which is a classic.

Got a vodka Detroit-style and hot honey wings from the food hall near our apartment. The pizza was good (heavy on ricotta so it depends on how you feel about ricotta) but the wings were other worldly; some of the best goddamn wings I’ve had in my entire life. They were so crisp it sounded like you were cracking a tooth every time you took a bite. Crazy. Also I bemoaned halfway through that I forgot to take a before pic but then my wife reminded me I could just take an ‘aftermath’ pic so you have her to thank for the update.

Occam’s razor being what it is, I’m more inclined to think that she is simply dumb.

Not to mention that the Oath Keepers had armed 'quick response' teams ready; they were absolutely prepared to take it that far if the opportunity presented itself.
