Had a couple coworkers or people related to coworkers get covid'd over the past couple weeks. Hadn't heard any covid in months, but definitely seems like it's making a bit of comeback.

I would like to think that you could never act in an "official capacity" as an "officer of the federal government" in an election you're a candidate for. You would have to imagine that Trump would have to make a convincing argument that he was merely trying to uncover evidence of voter fraud, which might be a valid function of the government, versus Trump trying to overturn the election into his favor, which would be in a personal capacity.

As someone who has been to Japan a number of times, yes, you can absolutely "wander" onto a floor that is dedicated to porn. Hell, if you go to a store and the floor guide says "PC Games" they ain't selling Steam gift cards up there, it's all hentai dating sims.

While I definitely agree there should be an investigation, I never think it's a good idea to immediately rush to judgement and assign blame. They could have just had some undiagnosed health issue or just something not caused by neglect.

Hah, I should have just mentioned "Go to Joypolis but take the elevator instead." There used to be a bunch of other stuff in the area I liked, Toyota had a big showroom that had a bunch of concept cars and stuff but it shut down a year or two ago. Also, the main bridge from that connects to the island lights up at night in rainbow colors and looks really nice.

I just view this in a similar way to calling the police for a mental health crisis. They're not equipped to deal with, but nobody has a better solution. Whether you ask a teacher to keep a secret or reveal a secret, your are inserting them into a situation they are not necessarily in the best position to handle.

I mean, it's one thing to have a different personality at home versus at school. But like, what name do you put on a report card? How do you expect teachers refer to the student at parent-teacher conferences?
