Movies Road House Reboot In the Works Starring
SoberChef replied to skillzdadirecta's topic in The Performing Arts Centre
It was serviceable. I'd rate it a solid 6/10. Not too keen on the way they shot the fights (look into the making of ... please don't be the start of something but iterate and make it BETTER), meanwhile, can someone please confirm that my eyes weren't deceiving me and there's easily at least a half dozen jolting color grade corrections that ... well they're jarring AF! The chemistry between Jake and everyone he interacts with was pleasant. However I feel the whole book store subplot sorta got stopped dead in its tracks. The camp is there, Dalton is a funny guy. Overall, I wouldn't buy it on physical media necessarily buy I wouldn't be opposed to rewatching it either. -
Personally, I'd argue that Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is the one film in QT's film log with the most rewatchability, which says a lot as most of his hold up to multiple viewings. As for what I initially came to bring up: Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. Legit beyond top tier Walking Dead and such a beautiful story of love between Rick and Michonne, with the latest 4th episode (written by Danai) is ... just SO powerful with a legit phenom performance by Andy Lincoln.

With everything that's gone down surrounding this series and the next installment...it just feels gross. -

Pretty sure it was a motorcycle accident. Literally just after coming off Iron Claw. That was the in for Cena and Zac to break the ice. -
Movies The Watchers - Next M. Night Shyamalan Film
SoberChef posted a topic in The Performing Arts Centre
From producer M. Night Shyamalan comes “The Watchers,” written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan and based on the novel by A.M. Shine. The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night. You can’t see them, but they see everything. “The Watchers” stars Dakota Fanning (“Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” “Ocean’s Eight”), Georgina Campbell (“Barbarian,” “Suspicion”), Oliver Finnegan (“Creeped Out,” “Outlander”) and Olwen Fouere (“The Northman,” “The Tourist”). The film is produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan and Nimitt Mankad. The executive producers are Jo Homewood and Stephen Dembitzer. Joining writer/director Shyamalan behind-the-camera are director of photography Eli Arenson (“Lamb,” “Hospitality”), production designer Ferdia Murphy (“Lola,” “Finding You”), editor Job ter Burg (“Benedetta,” “Elle”) and costume design by Frank Gallacher (“Sebastian,” “Aftersun”). The music is by Abel Korzeniowski (“Till,” “The Nun”). New Line Cinema presents “The Watchers,” set to open in theaters internationally beginning 5 June 2024 and in North America on June 7, 2024; it will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures. -

The 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray releases include a brand-new three-part documentary created for the 30th anniversary entitled "Shadows & Pain: Designing The Crow." The new piece is a fascinating deep dive with legendary production designer Alex McDowell, who discusses all aspects of designing the 1994 classic, as well as his experience working with visionary director Alex Proyas and the film's late star, Brandon Lee. Also, for the first time on disc, the releases include a conversation with the late Hollywood legend Edward R. Pressman who discussed his prolific career on the occasion of Sideshow Collectibles' release of a limited figure for THE CROW. Description: On the night before his wedding, musician Eric Draven (Brandon Lee) and his fiancée are brutally murdered by members of a violent inner-city gang. On the anniversary of their death, Eric rises from the grave and assumes the gothic mantle of the Crow, a supernatural avenger. Tracking down the thugs responsible for the crimes and mercilessly murdering them, Eric eventually confronts head gangster Top Dollar (Michael Wincott) to complete his macabre mission.
