I'm not talking about retaliation, just new administration means new appointees, and since Trump hired a bunch of unfit goons and ghouls to so many different positions, Biden should have just cleaned house, and not, "well this guy's doing a good job, so we'll keep him for now. Wouldn't want to look too partisan, and upset our Republican colleagues", even though didn't Trump basically replace all of Obama's appointees, as well as ending a lot of Obama's programs (like the pandemic research team, which could have made 2020 very different if they were still active), which I'm not even sure of Biden has reinstated a lot of those programs yet.

I completely understand what you're saying, and I've been hoping to see more character focused drama from Nolan from a while now. I still think The Dark Knight is his best movie (probably because of my Batman bias), but it would be nice for him to take a break from the high action blockbuster, and refresh himself with a thriller or drama again. Very much looking forward to this, and it'll for sure still have some amazing shots.

That'll mark the first time Nolan has done a black and white feature since Following, not counting the flashback scenes in Memento.

Had my eye on this for a while since de Armas is an interesting choice given she is a Cuban actress, and not a native English speaker (she lied about knowing English, and having to learn it fast to keep a role early in her Hollywood career) with a noticeable accent. I wonder why we don't see a lot of non native English speaking actors play roles where they have to not use their own accent, and put on an American accent. Then again I wonder how common it is in other markets to see a non Hindi speaking actor have to put on an accent and speak Hindi, a non German speaking actor put on an accent and speak German, a non Japanese actor have to put on an accent and speak Japanese, etc., etc.
