Well an i7 should make FC5 playable for you on PC then, lol. -

Do you play a lot of Ubisoft games? Because if you did, you might be desperate for an upgrade LOL. Ubisoft games are reeaaaaaaaaaaaallllly demanding on the CPU. Far Cry and Assassin's Creed most notably. -

Well with newer games you can expect the framerate to be more stable, so any stuttering or dips you currently see will be lessened. That will be the biggest impact from upgrading the CPU. And it seems like we discussed this before, and you don't overclock currently. If you upgrade to the 4770k and then overclock it, that will be an even better jump. 4770k is a great overclocker, and you have the best motherboard to do it on. As long as you have a decent heatsink you'll break 4.5 GHz easy. -

I was using ebay and looking at recently sold items. But someone on these boards probably has a 4770k sitting around. You could also visit various tech boards as some of them have For Sale/Trade areas. I bought a used 3770k from Overclock.net. -

What games are you playing, and what games do you want to play? That really does matter, because for the most part at 1440p, if you want to use high settings, your video card will be the bottleneck. -

Well you can get the next step down CPU, the Core i7 4770k, for looks like under $100. That's a decent value upgrade. $150-$200 for the 4790k isn't worth it. That should hold you over for another year or two. Once these next generation consoles release and developers focus more on them then you'll need to upgrade again. But a 4770k is still capable of delivering smooth framerates in today's games. I used the 3770k until last year, which is close to the 4770k, and it was fine. I just upgraded because I like to play at over 100 fps, lol, and I wanted new tech to play with. A 4770k is a good match for your GTX 1070 - a pretty balanced affair with neither component being a bottleneck for the other. You might want to wait a bit. Someone on this forum probably has a 4770k just sitting around. -

They stopped releasing CPUs for that motherboard a long time ago. You can get an upgraded CPU for it, but you'll have to buy it used. The best CPU for that board is the Core i7 4790k, seems to be around/under $200 on ebay. -

Oh, that's a bit low. You have to replace your motherboard and RAM, too, no matter the CPU. $350 is about the absolute bare minimum I'd recommend to do that. -

Depends on your budget, pretty much anything will be a huge upgrade. -
There's a growing sentiment among Republicans that Fauci overhyped AIDS (and SARS, MERS, Swine Flue, etc), HIV isn't as bad as the media tells us, he's using these pandemics to make money for BIG Pharma, he's taking away all of our freedoms turning this country into an authoritarian rule, he wants to kill capitalism, he probably worked with the Chinese to purposefully release this engineered bioweapon, and somehow wireless 5G transmits Covid 19. Some of the most fucked up shit This is what "the other side" believes, and I'm beginning to hear this shit more loudly day by day.

General Gaming Crysis Remastered (18 September 2020) OT
cusideabelincoln replied to Mr.Vic20's topic in The Spawn Point
Been too long, you'll have to google how to do it. All I remember is it's really simple, just a couple of lines you can edit with notepad. For the values.... I'd say at least double them, lol. But you can go nuts with it and run like the Flash. Honestly I'd say editing it however you like is fair considering the AI can see you a mile away through trees when you're uncloaked, especially those mother fuckers in boats.- 95 replies

Have they updated their servers since last week? I decided to stop doing it for a bit because I was waiting hours before downloading a new project. -
General Gaming Crysis Remastered (18 September 2020) OT

If this remaster uses a new engine it will actually run and look better than the original. Being limited to 2 CPU cores was and is a huge bottleneck for the original version. Also I hope we edit the suit abilities. Altering the config file so you can run faster, run longer, and recharge quicker made the game more enjoyable, especially because I think the default values were too low given the really open design and distances you have to travel.- 95 replies

Yeah I'm seeing my local social group thinks the shutdown is meant to control us into accepting authoritarian policies, big pharma is trying to mandate vaccines, Fauci is killing people because he's "actively not endorsing" hydroxychloroquine, and all kinds of conspiracy bullshit. Rural America is so blind. I also tried to show some of these people articles about the senators trading stocks after their private briefing and they completely blew it off as perfectly normal! Ahaha.

In an older, but still fuel-injected, vehicle I've gone about 2 years with the same gas in it. My skin was cracking and bleeding on the back of my hands the first week I upped my hand washing, too. Since then it has gotten better, but I've also applied lotion to the problematic areas right after a handwash. If only people could pay attention to their own actions and restrain themselves, we could worry less and probably function normally without worrying about an outbreak that could overwhelm hospitals. If you have a bad cough you shouldn't go out in public at all, regardless of what causes the cough. And there are still people not covering their mouths when they do have to cough or sneeze.

I could probably wait the 6 months, because that should also mean you will get the car you want with exactly the options you want. I imagine going to a website, taking a virtual tour of the car, picking what options you want, picking the color, and getting this without absurd markup prices. Hunting for the right car, and then hunting for the right options for that car, just sucks for me.
