  1. These are both really good responses! I'd say that The Simpsons falls into this category as well.
  2. If there is one, it's going to be relatively mild.
  3. "Oh shit - maybe the Fed won't take its foot off the rate hike pedal as quickly as we thought it would!"
  4. The fact of the matter is that some point relatively soon, Kyiv is going to have to come to terms with the reality that it's not going to liberate all of the territory that's currently under Russian occupation and articulate what the conditions for a cessation of hostilities looks like from their perspective which does not include "all Russian forces get out". There's no doubt in my mind that the Biden administration is looking to put this conflict on ice so that it can laser-focus on the looming confrontation with the PRC which is BY FAR more important for American interests.
  5. Gears 6 is reportedly The Coalition’s next game after two other titles were cancelled | VGC WWW.VIDEOGAMESCHRONICLE.COM It's claimed that the Canadian studio was recently affected by layoffs at Microsoft…
  6. Jeff Grubb revealed some details about the cancelled game today: Featured BT & other Titanfall characters Rampart brought BT back to life Players played as Blisk Legends would show up to give you powers Inspired by Doom Eternal Wall-running
  7. I'm in full agreement with the ISW analysis: we're at most three weeks away from a major Russian offensive in the Donbas. Also, Jomini of the West has made his triumphant return following his extended absence to deal with a personal situation: https://nitter.net/JominiW
  8. ISW analysis for 03 February 2023: Russian Offensive Campaign Assessment, February 2, 2023 | Institute for the Study of War WWW.UNDERSTANDINGWAR.ORG A Ukrainian intelligence official stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Russian military to capture Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts by March 2023, supporting ISW’s most likely course of action assessment (MLCOA) for a Russian offensive in e
  9. I'm at a loss to explain that as well. It's in our bloody airspace so we're well within our rights to eliminate it. The only thing I can think of is that the DoD is hoping that it comes down on its own so we can examine its technology.
  10. Memphis police chief behind the Scorpion unit ran a similarly aggressive squad in Atlanta WWW.NBCNEWS.COM Critics say Cerelyn "C.J." Davis should have known the risks of specialized street forces before she created the Scorpion unit, whose members were charged in Tyre Nichols’ fatal beating.
  11. This 'professional' end-of-the-world simulator is now available on Steam | PC Gamer WWW.PCGAMER.COM Nuclear War Simulator is a bit like Kerbal Space Program, only it's about nuclear annihilation and not technically a game. This video features a scenario where Russia initiates a "limited" nuclear scenario when they use a tactical nuke in Ukraine to deter the delivery of NATO weapons to Kyiv:
  12. Suspected Chinese spy balloon found over northern U.S. WWW.NBCNEWS.COM “The United States government ... is tracking a high-altitude surveillance balloon that is over the continental United States right now," said a Pentagon spokesperson. Picture of the intruder over Billings, MT:
  13. Per Jeff Grubb's stream today: The game will be M-rated and will likely feature human dismemberment that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order wasn't able to with its T rating. Insomniac is currently targeting a late 2024 release, but might push it to 2025 depending on how development progresses. The world design will probably be similar to the semi-open world/wide linear format of nu-God of War.
  14. Turtle Rock announces the end of content delivery for the game: Turtle Rock Studios TURTLEROCKSTUDIOS.COM A multi-project, award-winning independent developer located in the heart of Orange County, CA. We thrive in an open, collaborative environment which is led to this day by co-founders Chris Ashton and Phil Robb.
  15. SOMEONE IS ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME! IT'S REAL! (Just ignore the fact that his hand motions on the keyboard and mouse don't sync with the on-screen action or that the image on the monitor looks like it's been superimposed)
  16. The developer of the tag plug-in has fixed all that he can on his end - it's up to Invision to make a fix on their end with their next board software update.
  17. I am curious to see how Invision handles this going forward. Hopefully, Twitter API interaction becomes a specific paid option for the board software license (which I sure as hell won't pay for) rather than a general increase in the software licensing fee.
  18. I'm willing to bet that 8% is predominantly located in northern Florida which is a relatively economically disadvantaged region. So, I'm kinda glad for them!
  19. Don't look at me - I didn't do anything!
  20. In my esteemed opinion that was easily one of the best decisions I've ever made for this site and my only regret is that I didn't make it sooner. I really do genuinely believe that the quality of interaction has improved now that we don't have threads that are merely a stream of Twitter embeds.
