General Gaming What's the most difficult Souls game?
Commissar SFLUFAN replied to best3444's topic in The Spawn Point
Sekiro is unquestionably the most difficult because unlike the other titles, you're playing an essentially "fixed" character and therefore have to engage with the game on its own terms rather than "building" your way to success. -
The actions that I committed yesterday weren't the result of free will. They were the result of a nearly-infinite number of complex psychological and physiological processes that were influenced by an also nearly-infinite number of external and internal factors stretching back to when I was first conceived and over which I have little-to-no control. In order for a human both at an individual and societal level to function, it's absolutely necessary to maintain the illusion of free will even though I well and truly believe that it doesn't exist in the least.

Don't let the damnable Protestant heretics hear you say that!!! And all that spilled ink isn't worth the paper it's written on because the very existence of such a Deity who ostensibly knows the eternal fate of a being before that being is even born precludes the very notion of free will from the outset (not that I actually believe in free will myself, but that's neither here nor there).

At this point, I genuinely do have serious doubts as to whether we will see any "significant" counter-offensive from Kyiv in the near-term. The Russians are more than likely arrayed in significant "defense-in-depth" positions in the areas that they occupy and I simply don't believe that Ukraine can generate the sufficiently high degree of combat power that would be necessary to push through them.

Furthermore, if the argument is that She doesn't know whether a person is condemned to Hell, then that pretty much eliminates Her "omniscience". In summary: If She doesn't know if a being will be condemned for eternity, then She isn't "omniscient". If She knows that a being will be condemned for eternity and can't do anything about it, then She isn't "omnipotent". If She knows that a being will be condemned for eternity and can do something about it, but chooses not to do something about it, then She isn't "omnibenevolent". What's the use of believing in this supposedly infallible Deity anyway? I'd rather believe in one of those ludicrous pagan pantheons because at they're honest about how horribly fallible they really are.

You effectively just completely disproved God's "love" and/or existence in that one sentence. God's supposed omniscience means that She already knows whether a being is condemned to Hell before that being comes into existence. Therefore, God allows the creation of such a person even though She knows that person is damned for eternity. So much for God's "love,", eh?

Naturally, they're not wasting time: NC Republicans file half dozen bills impacting transgender youth WWW.WRAL.COM Republicans in the North Carolina legislature have filed at least six bills this week that would impact transgender participation in high school sports and healthcare for transgender minors.

What a delightfully silly, highly entertaining episode I think it speaks to a degree of confidence in itself that this show is so very willing to relegate its ostensible protagonist to an essentially supporting role for so much of this season. Of course, that could be a reflection that Din Djarin might not necessarily be the main character of this series anymore as the IGN article posted below suggests. In essence, while he was the titular "The Mandalorian" for the first two seasons of this series (and half the season for Boba Fett's own show), it could very well be that he isn't "The Mandalorian" for this season (or perhaps even going forward) and that "The Mandalorian" of show's title now really is Bo-Katan. Is Din Djarin Still the Main Character of The Mandalorian? - IGN WWW.IGN.COM The latest episode of The Mandalorian solidifies something we've suspected all season long - this is no longer Din Djarin's show. Find out why Bo-Katan has become the series' true main protagonist in Season 3. And as @CayceG suggested above, the title could eventually pass from Bo-Katan to We might need to stop thinking of the show's title in terms of a single, specific "The Mandalorian" and that it will pass (much like the Darksaber itself) from one Mandalorian to another.
