US to resume use of death penalty on federal level

That is true, but as far as I can tell it was not because his administration made it policy, it was because it is notoriously hard to get people to the actual point of execution.

I think GWB owns the record for most executions under his watch as governor in Texas, so yeah, probably not due to any opposition on this part.
