He's really grown as a director since Clerks II with films like Red State, Tusk, and he's always been a good writer (for the most part, I'll try to forget Yoga Hosers exists) so here's hoping. I think so - same with Depp's daughter, who Smith's daughter co-starred with in Yoga Hosers (this was due to Johnny Depp starring for the first time in a Smith film with Tusk, where he was easily the worst thing about the film - he reprises the role in Yoga Hosers).
