Greatoneshere Posted July 19, 2019 Share Posted July 19, 2019 My wife is a big fan of the original trilogy and is re-reading the books in anticipation of this. We rewatched the movie to see if she liked it more in retrospect and she still hates it. Tom Hooper is a pretty good director (Red Dust, the HBO John Adams miniseries, The Damned United, The King's Speech, Les Miserables, The Danish Girl, and the upcoming Cats) so this should be a lot better.
