SpaceX completes first successful (automated) launch of new crew capsule to the ISS

Should rendezvous with the USS for docking around 6:00am Sunday morning.

 

Here's an inside shot of the capsule (much roomier than I expected) with a floating plushy for some reason:

 

 

Looks like the first stage successfully landed on the drone vessel Of Course I Still Love You, in the Atlantic ocean.

Elon Musk's SpaceX capsule splashes down off Florida coast

 



CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla (Reuters) - An unmanned capsule from Elon Musk’s SpaceX splashed down into the Atlantic Ocean on Friday morning after a short-term stay on the International Space Station, capping the first orbital test mission in NASA’s long-delayed quest to resume human space flight from U.S. soil later this year.
