I was just poking around in some Steam community pages and I found the Bad Cartridge/D1P group (anyone not in it already should join!) and I noticed that its description mentions the TF2 server. Unfortunately, I can't even remember the last time I played on it (maybe 2015 ? ) and when I tried to connect to the IP given in the Steam group from within TF2, it said it couldn't find anything. If so, that's why it didn't work, it's missing a . between 246 and 17, so if you just copied and pasted, it won't work. How does the vs machine mode work? Normally we'd need 6-8 people to have a good chance of attracting others to join. Ah yes, I bet that's it; I did indeed just copy and paste. Thanks! Mann vs. Machine is a pretty fun mode; basically you and some friends fight against waves of bots that are pretty dumb but they overwhelm with numbers. You're right, we might have more luck getting a game of that mode going than a full 12 v. 12. I'll try to get something organized in the next days! I'm living in Portland, OR now and am pretty much a slave to work and my dog (walks and other attention ). I barely play games besides Counter-Strike 2 and Vampire Survivors on my Steam Deck. I've been playing a lot of ultimate frisbee with some friends (playing in a local rec league) and that's been good exercise. How about you? I've heard good things about Portland but haven't been. How do you like it? I'm still in the Navy, just passed 10 years in the other month and recently got promoted to E-6 which is nice. I bought a house in Virginia Beach with my girlfriend but I'd love to move to a real city. This is just a giant suburb. My son graduated high school and is off to college this fall which is a bit mind blowing that he's an adult now. Time flies.
