It’s like 3 different little worlds for him to visit/discover. Also that blue bike was my moms from when she was a kid. She just decided the yard needed more colour, since she doesn’t ride it anymore but still sentimental value to her. Then you got the compost bin we don’t use too often anymore, and the grey trolly was from my days at the movie theatre. Was used to transport ice buckets to our pop fountain stands on concession, but now we use it to wash the dogs in. . . . whether they like it or not. So with me still looking for a job. I take him (depending on weather) and Buddy with my mom for a walk in the morning and if it’s not raining/too hot, another walk around the neighbourhood at night. They both have to go because 1) so one doesn’t get jealous of the other and 2) Fozzy doesn’t walk without Buddy walking in front of him. It also must be an inherited trait in all Goldens to be attention whores. See a person, they will stop and see if they wanna come pat them, even if they are across the street not looking at them. I get up everyday at 12am and take them both out for a pee because of his small bladder. Happy to say we are currently 4 days straight without an accident in the house, but shitty rainy weather is possible this week and hope it doesn’t scare up the progress we have made this week with him. oh and he has tried some turkey and steak for the first time this week too, and he LOVES IT! Can’t wait to get a pic of him trying ice cream for the first time

silentbob
So today Fozzie Bear turns 1 and earlier in the week we didn’t know if he'd even make that. (pic from this morning before taking off for work) So last week we noticed he wasn’t touching his food, low energy and wouldn’t play with Buddy. Before that he and Buddy were wrestling off and on throughout the day for hours. Then he was giving up after only 1-2 minutes of play or Buddy would try to get him playing to no avail. So Fozzie Bear for over 5 days was in and out at the vets, over night stay and a couple IVs to get nutrients into him. The little guy dropped 5lbs in 4 days and the vets could only see that maybe his intestines seemed inflamed. They took a tissue sample and actually caused him to go into shock briefly. So now we have him on prednisone to get his appetite up but could be this for the rest of his life. Whatever we have to do, we will do it because he’s pretty much close to normal once again 😊

silentbob
So as most of you know I lost my beloved dog Buddy at the beginning of August to cancer. We wanted to get Fozzie Bear someone (he’s a little lost without a friend) and sadly our breeder didn’t have success in September with her litters. Last night we got the email that she has had a successful litter and that we will be able to bring home a new pup by roughly January 14th (8 weeks) She hasn’t posted pics yet but will post when she does. This is all I wanted to hear before Xmas and it finally happened We are returning to the English Golden Retriever because their temperament is a little calmer when they’re a pup. Plus we love our big block headed dogs and the parents look like they will deliver on that. 3 1
silentbob
Breeder has finally posted some pics of the litter. Hoping we get the chunky one in the bottom right. Should be 4 weeks Saturday and one of them comes home. 1
silentbob
Just got a pic (6 weeks old) of who we get to bring home in 2 weeks. I think we got the chunky pup I wanted in the corner of the previous pic. Look how big those paws are 2

Everyone who meets our dog usually starts with “Hey Buddy, what’s your name?” Plus we keep accidentally calling Fozzie “Buddy” and so it’s ingrained in us to name him that. Reminds me of an episode of King of Queens where Kevin's family continues to buy the same dog each time it dies and name it the same. When Kevin visits them on a holiday or whatever Kevin blissfully plays with the dog while Carrie is finding out that Kevin's original dog would be 29 yrs old or something! 😄 So happy for you and your family to bring that big boy home! 1
silentbob
HE’S HERE. We just came home with him just over half an hour ago. Threw up 3 times in the car but we are a kisser/snuggler. Fozzie Bear wants to play with him so badly, but his size/energy is a little intimidating to Buddy at the moment. So a few pics to share, and videos hopefully soon too 4

silentbob
I never updated this like I did for FB. Well I just wanted to make a quick update that the new Buddy celebrated his 1st BDay today. He’s already bigger in size/weight than his big brother. He is ball obsessed and requires at least 2 half plays of toss just to help tire him out. Then he and Fozzie go all National Geographic’s on us with them jumping on 2 legs and into each others chest. Pretty sure this was easily the best thing we did for Fozzie Bear and for myself. He is a snuggle muffin 2 2

silentbob
My mom already has our artificial tree up for XMas and has been up for 3 weeks (yeah I know) Talking with my mom, and then I hear a noise off towards the tree. Guess whose leg was lifted off the ground and streamed away onto the tree. Ran over, smacked him and told him he was BAD, and just caught Fozzie Bear from doing that exact same thing. We love them, but sometimes. . . .
