JOBS, JOBS, JOBS!

I wouldn’t blame any political leader for sustaining job losses during a pandemic shutdown, but he totally could have done a better job of limiting the damage if he’d have taken it more seriously and prepped better.  But that would have required staying off Twitter and not being a narcissistic blowhard and...well there’s nothing more to say after that.

If states were actually forced to take the lockdown seriously, and if there was actual support from the federal government beyond the CARES act (which for most businesses was basically up by July) for small businesses, we would still be fine.

It's proving true what a lot of people said that a harsh lockdown with actual support from the federal government would have cost us far less, both in terms of money, jobs, and lives. The lives we'll never get back. The jobs will take a long time. The money is fleeting, and there will be less of it because of lack of the other two.

Oh, this was the biggest fuckup we've ever made. Imagine if we had lost 400k soldiers in a year at war? The GOP and the DNC would have RAGED!

But as soon as they have to sacrifice a tiny bit for the greater good, any personal cost becomes too high for half the country. A fucking hard 3 week lockdown, heavy tracing, and border lockdowns, and we would be relatively well off right no.

America! Fuck Yeah!
