  1. This is my concern as well. I know it's built on the same engine with basically the same mechanics and everything. But I'm hoping it differentiates itself enough to both get and keep me interested in it. And to justify buying it for that matter. I remember playing BOTW for the first time.... that first step looking out over the Great Plateau and beyond. Just an amazing and iconic moment in gaming for me. It was a brand new Zelda experience and for me, renivigorated the franchise. Expecting Tears of the Kingdom to replicate that experience may be a lofty expectation, for me anyway. I guess we'll find out.
  2. PS5 glitch Not sure if anyone has encountered this glitch yet. But I couldn’t use BD-1 which ended my progress in a particular level. Anything R1 button related wouldn’t work either, which sucked because it would have REALLY come in handy here. Tried saving and reloading and nothing worked. Had to hard restart the console to get it working again. I guess I’m about 20 hours in and this has been my first major bug. Loving this game but this one was kind of a big letdown. Like I said earlier, I’ll probably be finished with this game by the time they get it smoothed out.
  3. Maybe that's why the Series S/X STILL doesn't have that AAA marquee exclusive. Because they really don't care. lol
  4. Yea, it’s pretty strange. I was pretty surprised how choppy it was in the open areas on Koboh. He might have his settings jacked up lol. But he’s having too much fun regardless of performance issues so it is what it is. I’m still gonna check everything, once I get a chance, to see if I can get better performance. But he’ll probably have it beat by then. 🤷‍♂️
  5. My son is playing this on a 3070ti rig with a pretty beefy CPU (not sure which) and a ton of RAM. And my PS5 looks better with a consistently better framerate. I’m not sure how they botched this on PC’s so badly. It’s definitely still playable though. But imo, the PC versions have not been properly optimized yet as they should be outperforming consoles across the board.
  6. Joking aside, I really hope Respawn gets this game cleaned up in the next week or so. Thing is, it usually takes me 2 to 3 weeks to beat games of this size because of my schedule. And by that time they’ll probably have it running a lot smoother, right when I’m finishing it Guess I’ll need to prepare for a second playthrough some day for the “optimal” experience.
  7. I’m playing on the PS5 and I guess I should feel fortunate that I average 30fps. Seems like the first day or so was better in terms of performance. But last night and today FPS is all over the place. Getting a lot of pop in too. But performance issues aside, I’m still having a lot of fun with it. I think it may be my favorite Star Wars game to date.
  8. Apparently some A-Hole on Youtube is blatantly posting major spoilers. I was stuck on a room and thought I would get help. I got spoiled instead. They’re right on the front page if you search for anything Jedi Survivor related. Everybody’s algorithm is different but be advised.
  9. This is the approach I’ve had for years. Any big release that I’m really anticipating, I pretty much go in blind. Reminds me of the old NES days when you bought or rented a game not knowing what you were about to experience. lol
  10. For me Yea, for me the game just isn’t fun. I did care enough about the first one to finish it. But man, I really had to force myself to complete it. I thought maybe the sequel would keep me interested, but no. It’s basically just more of the same.
