  1. Even if that's what Bernie meant, there's PLENTY that Trump and the Republicans will weaponize against HIM that I personally think is even more of a potential detriment than simply being a woman. I'm certain he said something along those lines and given how blunt Bernie can be, I'm sure it sounded to Warren EXACTLY like what she's saying.
  2. Pandering to the Trump base... if she loses her election she at least gets a job at Fox news. Or somewhere worse
  3. It's GOTTA be tough to be a satirist these days. We are actually living the HBO series VEEP right now except somehow worse.
  4. Same feeling I have about Bernie as I've said to friends of mine who support him. I don't get the Trump-like cult of personality surrounding him with his followers, but if he was the nominee I would vote for him and support him. I think he'd lose catastrophically in a Dukakis like fashion but what're you gonna do?
  5. Was he THAT hands on with the show that it couldn't go on without him? I just caught up with both seasons last year and I liked them very much. I also liked Love Death and Robots so which probably is the more production intensive show so I can see that taking up more of his time than Mindhunter. Bummer.
  6. I'm gonna go out on a limb and presume that Pelosi and the Dem leadership know something about Amash that the public doesn't so... fuck him. My words not theirs.
  7. This takes away another Republican talking point that I've seen regarding this impeachment... "Unlike the other impeachment cases, there was no underlying crime in this case." Well... now you have one. I would assume the same conclusion would be reached regarding the Puerto Rico Aid funds as well... interesting that those funds were released recently as well
  8. Those are often the best executed films especially when it comes to the action genre. One of the first things you're taught to do when preparing to write a script is to be able to sum up your plot in three sentences. Films that can't be summed up like that often don't work and probably shouldn't be films. That's why I'm all for Filmmakers moving to the television format if the story they want to tell is too big for the big screen. it's also why I think Tarantino's work has suffered in his later years... but that's just me
  9. Think about how much plot A New Hope and Empire had... not much. And those films are damn near perfect.
  10. The guy who wrote broke down those scripts LOVED Rise of Skywalker btw and said we ultimately got "A Better film." All I can say is that Disney is lucky The Mandalorian and Jedi Fallen Order turned out so well. I've been having a blast with Battlefront too.
  11. Ultimately, Cats will probably be the more memorable movie between the two to be honest.
  12. They repeated the beats that the original trilogy already played out. As I've said before, based on what was happening in the comics and across the larger Star Wars Universe in the lead up to The Last Jedi, I believed the story WAS moving in the direction of achieving true balance in the force in that both light and dark would be needed to co-exist. I think after the backlash from Jedi, AND some comments from Lucas who has said there's not such thing as a "Grey Jedi", They backed away from that and probably told Treverrow they were "moving in another direction" which was "Play the greatest hits." And in came JJ.
  13. This crossover set up what should be DC's TV and movie strategy moving forward. It's all connected but not stringently so. I really enjoyed this crossover and think if DC/Warners plays this right, they could REALLY start to rival Disney/Marvel. A lot of big consequences moving forward for the Arrowverse shows that came out of the crossover. I dug it a lot. Very fun.
  14. The Morons won because they got out and voted for what they wanted... so what does that make the folks who stayed home
