Update: TikTok acquired by...Oracle(?!?)
foosh replied to b_m_b_m_b_m's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
Walmart has been building up their data presence. Walmart Labs does a lot of things similar to Amazon, in terms of analytics. the reason why TikTok would be attractive to Walmart is because TikTok ads seem to work better than FB, Google, and Snap in getting users to buy physical stuff (via ads). And ads on TikTok are half the cost of FB. -

I think Austin had their own version as nonprofit. I think it also went out of business. It’s not a sustainable business. Ubers original goal was to undercut taxis and put them out of business then to jack up their prices. Along comes Lyft that ruined it for them. Both companies exist to make sure the other doesn’t make money. the engineering resources are actually quite huge. A lot of the mapping tech is manually done. They have teams that optimize rides per metro.

Yes, nVidia would have liability. It's that simple. Just like Apple has liability with what you upload to your iCloud. -

GFN clearly isnt a Personal Computer, no matter how hard you argue VM is another computer somewhere. -

software licensing though. GFN doesn't have the rights to install software that they dont have the license to. -
