  1. $1000? https://www.ebay.com/itm/OB-HTC-Vive-VR-Virtual-Reality-3D-Headset-99HAHZ024-00-Newest-Version/273125430568?epid=2290414308&hash=item3f978b5528:g:99AAAOSw8fRbOSwk $499 for Vive https://www.ebay.com/itm/Oculus-Rift-Touch-VR-Headset-Bundle/283037721917?hash=item41e65ce53d:g:mnAAAOSwzatbOvZq $399 for Oculus + Touch
  2. I don’t have Atmos nor do I plan on doing it, just a 7.1 set-up so it sounds like it’s worth the $14 bucks shipped for a used copy on eBay since I only have an old DVD copy, a VHS copy and an HD digital copy...
  3. Hmm, wasn’t aware of that. I checked about YouTube, and MS has HDR support listed as “coming soon”... for almost a year. Do you have any experience with the Die Hard 4k release? It’s gotten good reviews.
  4. Yea, meant Dolby Vision, no idea why I wrote Digital I’d rather not use the built-in aps since HDMI Arc sucks wieners on AVRs and I’d have to use optical audio and lose the AVR overlay . Are the built-in apps on the LG B7A really that much better than using my XboneX?
  5. Is Apple TV Gen 5 (4k) worth its high price tag if I already have an XboneX? I know the Apple TV does Dolby Digital AND HDR10 while the XboneX only does HDR10, but I really don't want to spend another $150-200 for a streaming device I'm pretty sure that the XboneX supports 4k YouTube (HDR?), 4k HDR Netflix and 4k HDR Amazon Video (and possibly 4k/HDR Hulu...?).
  6. Damn... I was totally getting at least six copies of Peter Rabbit! How is HDR on Netflix streaming?
  7. I heard that the Fifth Element UHD remaster is really good - any truth to that? I love that movie.
  8. It happened because I kept “upgrading” that secondary set and was trying to find a X930D (Sony HDR 4k TV with 3D) used, everything was local pickup on eBay, except for open-boxed units at Frys which were $1300-1400... Then I started searching refurbished OLEDs, then I checked Amazon and found that open-box 65” B7A for the same price as the 930D after all of my gift cards abd points, and thought “screw it” ...
  9. I was debating between that, Thor: Ragnorok (which I enjoyed more) and/or Spider-Man Homecoming. However, I cannot find much on the latter two in regards to UHD/HDR quality.
  10. Getting a 4k TV next week, need eye candy. Ordered Blue Planet II 4k/HDR Edition, that’s it so far Player will be my XboneX.
  11. You’re all going to laugh at me... I found a 65” B7A 2017 LG OLED open box (but still sealed in factory bag, never used) for $1900, with all the gift cards I got from my Engagement Party on Sunday plus points I had on my Amazon CC it was only $1397 shipped, and I’ll get $70 back from using my Amazon CC too... SOOOOOOOOO, I’m going to use my VT50 as the aforementioned secondary TV, stick the OLED in where the VT50 currently is. Once HDMI 2.1 models come out, I’ll wait for clearance sales then give the 2017 OLED to my dad. Final price was just too good to pass up I’m so weak
  12. Clearly, they should have called around and priced shopped in the midst of the emergency.
  13. Xbox One: Assault Android Cactus Death Squared Xbox 360: Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction
  14. It was killed by Sugar Knight in regards to a rap dispute with Tupac.
  15. The new Mustang GT runs a 3.9 0-60 and an 11.8 1/4 stock. I forget what the newest non-ZL1 V8 Camaro does but the the Stinger GT runs a 4.4 (.3 better than Kia’s estimates) 0-60 and a 12.5 1/4. If you’re running against the Stinger GT2 with a 2015-2017 or earlier Mustang GT or a pre-2016 Camaro, you’re def gonna lose though
  16. Changing the subject slightly - what’s the best sub-$500 TV for that aforementioned secondary set? Thinking TCL or the new Toshiba FireTV - the set isn’t going to be used much, TV speakers will likely be used for a good while until I replace my current AV Receiver with an HDMI 2.1 unit
