  1. I really think at this point Cate Blanchett is at the IDGAF stage of her career, where she reached astronomical heights of fame and notoriety decades ago and whose name is already etched in the pantheon of legendary actors known for timeless roles in film. What's left for her to do? Oh, I guess Shlock it up with the most outlandish projects she can find (that can actually afford her).
  2. Myself, I never lie about cereal. Although I've been known to enlarge some details to show texture.
  3. This quote here from the end of the article really lays out the long-term goal: This is a war. It doesn't matter if their views are popular or not, that doesn't factor into their strategy. In fact it only HELPS their narrative of Christian persecution. They've known for a long time the voting population has been moving away from extremist Christian views. They've been playing the long game. They don't need or care about the will of the people. The goal through gerrymandering, voter registration restrictions, eliminating polling places in minority communities and on college campuses, and most recently when they upped the ante drastically with the fake elector scheme, voter intimidation, hindering or elimination of mail-in ballots, and the Jan 6 insurrection... That's the real game. Systematic dismantling of the systems of democracy, while sowing the seeds of mistrust among Conservatives in the integrity of our elections. Convince enough people you're right, and put the right people in positions of judicial power, and you have all the pieces for ending democracy, and you didn't even need the majority to do it.
  4. Damn, makes me wish I thought of it first. Could've bought a nice house.
  5. Is English hard for you? I said "at this rate" you'll be able to watch those shows on Netflix. Meaning at the rate of re-consolidation, it will probably be a moot point.
  6. Well at this rate you'll be able to watch all the new Star Trek shows on Netflix anyway.
  7. At one point most of their legacy shows (Cheers, etc) could all be watched on Netflix.
  8. I mean they've been paying all his legal fees, why not his penalties too?
  9. Is this a prompt for Sora? It could be a prompt for Sora. Also, "There's money in that hot dog stand," he said with a conspicuous wink, idly tugging the sleeve of his orange jumpsuit.
  10. Wow, so spIitting off their own service for their own content has resulted in having to merge services and content again. I love how all these companies that tried to take the ball and go home are now being forced to bring the ball back.
  11. Just starting to see some of these videos getting posted. Yeah there are flaws but ot the untrained eye, ie most people probably wouldn't be able to tell. And if we got this far this fast, I don't see those flaws lasting very long. And yeah frankly it's a bit terrifying. I don't know that humanity collectively has the intelligence to cope with this new reality.
  12. Yeah not shocking. This was my first thought after watching that YouTube review posted ealier in this thread. The fact that they're telling owners they have to wipe off all moisture and dead bugs off their vehicles after every trip is not a good sign on the longevity of the body panels.
  13. I watched it again just a few years ago thinking it would be trash and I only liked it as kid with low kid standards, but no. I was shocked how well it held up.
  14. I recall 20+ years ago they had something akin to hyponosis that was supposed to change how the brain processes the pain. Or something. Unfortunately I didn't stick with it but I wish I did.
  15. Texas doesn't need any of your woke energy mixing in with their true American energy.
  16. It's a little bit of both-sidesism, which, if I'm being honest when the polls are this razer tight, should we really be taking shots at the only person standing in the way of "The Return of Voldemort", as they said? I don't know, they're valid criticisms so it's hard to disagree, but I'm not sure whatever objective he's trying to achieve is the best one to pursue at this exact moment.
  17. It's not correct either way, it's just that the soft G crowd decided to get together and be wrong. And when the creator of GIFs came out and corrected them, they turned into the mental equivalent of an election denier.
  18. Yeah and just like Pixar was in their early days, Disney's animation studio is young, hungry, and eager to prove themselves.
