  1. The US is proof you can take the poor from other countries and turn it into a first world nation.... Its just a bunch of nationalist bullshit you're spouting at this point.
  2. Dem debates will be up to 20 people, require you to get to 1% in 3 state or national polls certified by the party, or 65,000 donors with at least 200 from 20 states.
  3. This also forces the senate to vote once the House votes to deny the emergency declaration, McConnell can't stop it from happening, and theres probably enough votes that it passes, forcing Trump to veto it.
  4. The predator - 0/5, nothing about it made any sense, everyone was the worst, and it was outright offensive to people with autism. How hard is it to make a movie about an alien that comes to earth to trophy hunt humans in warzones.
  5. Retail sales on the decline as well. The best part is how these idiots think its unthinkable that because someone has a job they can't be doing bad. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/14/retail-sales-were-so-bad-its-either-suspect-or-a-recession-warning.html The sudden and unexpected plunge in December's retail sales data raised new concerns about a recession, but economists also say the biggest drop in nine years clashes with other data and may be suspect. But nonetheless, Wall Street still took the data seriously and economists slashed fourth quarter GDP forecasts. JP Morgan cut its growth estimate to 2 percent from 2.6 percent. "This literally came from out of left field… I thought January would have been bad," said Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at MUFG Union Bank. "All our reports earlier were that holiday sales were sparkling." The Commerce Department said retail sales for December fell 1.2 percent, the largest decline since September, 2009 when the economy was exiting recession and shaking off the financial crisis. The report was delayed due to the government shutdown, and there is no release date for January sales data. "This is against the backdrop of the only data we had, which was the blockbuster employment numbers," said Diane Swonk, chief economist at Grant Thornton. "If the world was that bad, that was the place we should have seen it and we didn't. It leaves us all scratching our heads. It's suspect, highly suspect."
  6. What year is it!? In a vote of 92-8 the bill creates over a million acres of new "wilderness" which means no development can happen or mining of any kind, permanently authorizes the land and water conservation fund which uses oil and gas royalties and fees to do clean up. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/12/climate/senate-conservation-bill.html?smid=fb-nytimes&smtyp=cur&fbclid=IwAR05HHS1vT5Uho9iEW53zAHCu9vDFKj0POFnh91q1AkaLEdUMTVPNdwUbXA “This package gives our country a million acres of new wilderness, protects a million acres of public lands from future mining, permanently reauthorizes the Land and Water Conservation Fund and balances conservation and recreation for the long term,” said Representative Raúl Grijalva, the Arizona Democrat who heads the House Natural Resources Committee. “It’s one of the biggest bipartisan wins for this country I’ve ever seen in Congress.” Among the most consequential provisions is the permanent reauthorization of the Land and Water Conservation Fund, a federal program established in 1964 that uses fees and royalties paid by oil and gas companies drilling in federal waters to pay for onshore conservation programs. Although the program has long enjoyed bipartisan support, Congress typically renews it for only a few years at a time, and it expired on Sept. 30 and has not been renewed. The new public lands package would authorize the program permanently, ending its long cycle of nearing or passing expiration and awaiting Congressional renewal. The bill designates 1.3 million acres in Utah, New Mexico, Oregon and California as “wilderness,” the most stringent level of federal land protection. It prohibits any development and the use of most motorized vehicles. And the bill creates less-stringent but permanent protections of land in Montana and Washington state. It also classifies approximately 225 miles of river in Massachusetts and Connecticut and 280 miles of river in Oregon as wild, scenic, or recreational. It includes three new national monuments to be administered by the National Park Service: the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument in Jackson, Miss., the Mill Springs National Monument in Kentucky and the Camp Nelson National Monument in Kentucky.
  7. Just think of how much better your life would be in your state, if some people had hookworm! Its fun when you tell people you're from NY and they say something like "Oh i love the city" or something and having to tell them I've never been to it, lol. Lets also take a look at how the GOP has run things nationally for the last 2 years, the next recession is going to be a doozy.
  8. I'd wager its used cars that are the worst offenders here, theres some seriously fucked up buy here pay here practices, you can literally pay more than twice as much as what a car is worth at those places, but people do it cause their credit is shit. Can't make a payment? They'll make your car unable to start, long enough they'll repo it back and sell it again.
  9. So a town in Russia has declared an emergency because climate change has driven 50 polar bears into the town to rummage for food, and its illegal to shoot them in Russia so they're sending experts to try to get them out of the town, but culling might be the only option. It snowed in Minnesota though so we're good .
  10. So the new NAFTA might be in trouble largely because of self inflicted wounds like refusing to lift the steel and aluminum tariffs and republicans are afraid Pelosi is going to get something big in return for putting it up for a vote. https://www.axios.com/trump-nafta-replacement-uscma-9bfa36aa-91d8-40c4-b2ce-4564c670209a.html?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=twsocialshare&utm_campaign=organic
  11. So Trump exempted Russian Pollock from tariffs despite them being processed in China and shipped here, keeping their price lower than American Cod, in the meantime American Cod got hit with 25% tariffs from China locking them out of that market, TARIFF MAN HOOOOOOOO! https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/07/politics/russian-fish-sticks/index.html
  12. Northam isn't going anywhere, and really he shouldn't unless theres a lot more out there of him doing stupid racist things.
  13. Trump's Bedminster golf course employed so many undocumented immigrants it basically paid for an entire town in Costa Rica, lol. Despite claims they just learned of the undocumented working for them, and officer notified them 7 years ago that one of its employees had fake papers. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/my-whole-town-practically-lived-there-from-costa-rica-to-new-jersey-a-pipeline-of-illegal-workers-for-trump-goes-back-years/2019/02/08/8cdbc1dc-2971-11e9-97b3-ae59fbae7960_story.html?utm_term=.b26b89f28468
  14. Edelman isn't going to the HOF, in 10 years no one will remember who he was let alone put him on a list with guys like Fitzgerald, Jones, and Brown, lol. His post season stats are skewed because of the number of games hes played in, Rice is probably the only one to have played in more games than him too in the playoffs because he was on a dominant team for so long, Rice just also dominated the regular season as well.
