The ‘full employment recession’?
PaladinSolo replied to Signifyin(g)Monkey's topic in The Political Re-Education Camp
Left my old job about 3 years ago making ~70% more than i was, but since my old workplace has given substantial pay increases, so if i had stayed i'd still be up quite a bit, but probably just more like 30%. Currently looks like i'll be moving to a new position, unless something happens and they don't open the position, thats initially a lateral move but ramps up ~2500 a year for 6 years till i hit the contract pay rate, but that will also be going up over that time, but will go up faster than my current job. -
Wonder if the train I just saw in town packed with military support vehicles and some smaller JLTV type vehicles are headed to Ukraine, as they were headed east, this town is a layover spot when drivers hit hour caps and usually they sit all day for the driver to get rest, this one did a swap of drivers and took off ASAP. Course I haven't seen a military train here ever so dunno if that's standard for military transport.

“We're always looking where we could find savings and others, but we live in a very dangerous world. I just watched the president come back from G7, watched the war in Ukraine where we have supplied them an ample amount of weaponry from America,” McCarthy said. “I would never want to weaken America, so I think the Pentagon actually has to have more resources in the process. We are willing to agree to spend up to what the president put in his budget." Good to know the military can still never have too much money.

The American south wouldn't look anything like it does now without A/C regardless of water resources, the people that live there are not used to these temps for long periods of time, which are dangerous to the young and elderly, of which i'm sure are the majority of the numbers cited for a city of millions.

Yeah, F-15 comes to mind, was built to counter the MiG-25 which was supposed to be some Russian super fighter than we couldn't touch, then when a pilot defected with one we found out the F-15 absolutely outclasses it in just about every way but absolute top speed because the US severely overestimated its abilities and built the F-15 to those specs.

I don't get how hypersonics are supposed to be any harder to knock down, other than time to target shooting them down on the other end doesn't mean you need a faster missile just an accurate one that has a good idea of where its going. Their extreme speed also makes slight maneuvers to avoid intercepts difficult as the extra stress and heat could cause it to destroy itself though i'm sure someone will figure it out eventually.

PC Tech PLEASE build me a new PC

Unless you care about RT going with AMD is the better option, pretty much across the board and at a cheaper price, hell AMD's last gen cards are still viable due to VRAM usage going through the roof so they're now outperforming 30 series on newer games even with RT enabled because of VRAM.
