  1. Regardless of what you think of the catholic church or the people who ran these particular churches back when these atrocities happened, burning down these churches is clearly a hate crime under Canadian law.
  2. You are reminded every time you open your wallet! Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - Canada.ca WWW.CANADA.CA Learn about the life and work of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Queen of Canada.
  3. We had a big grill fire a few months ago because it got too hot while heating it up and it caught all of fat drippings on fire. I felt like a badass putting it out with high velocity water fog. My navy firefighting skills finally paid off!
  4. New York prosecutors have charged the Trump Org CFO with 15 Felony counts for tax fraud over a 15 year period. Prosecutors believe that Weisselberg is a flight risk, so the court has taken his passport. Prosecutors charge Trump Organization with a 15-year tax scheme WWW.CNN.COM New York prosecutors on Thursday charged the Trump Organization, Trump Payroll Corporation and Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg with 15 felony counts in connection with an alleged tax scheme stretching back to 2005, in an extraordinary legal development against the former President's namesake company.
  5. Cox and Century Link serve the Las Vegas area, but only Cox is in my neighborhood, which means that's my only high speed choice. But like I said, it may make sense for me to go with Starlink in the future (if we stay in this neighborhood) because Cox is costing us over $150 a month for just internet.
  6. The network isn't fully built out yet. I think when you sign up right now (which is still in beta AFAIK), they make it clear there will be periods of no connectivity due to no satellite being overhead. This is one of the reasons why I passed on being a user at this point. Although my Cox internet is expensive, it's fairly reliable. I WFH enough and am attending school online so I need a consistent connection. I'll probably reconsider Starlink in a year or two once they get more sats up.
  7. Pelosi taps Cheney for Jan. 6 select committee - POLITICO WWW.POLITICO.COM Cheney, who lost her leadership post over her criticism of former President Donald Trump, was one of two Republicans who voted to establish the panel this week.
  8. These are state level charges. New York State will just laugh and point at that piece of paper because it is worthless.
  9. Weisselberg turned himself in this morning, and is expected to be in court later this afternoon for the charges to be made official. Top Trump Org executive surrenders to prosecutors ahead of expected criminal indictment WWW.CNN.COM Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg surrendered to the Manhattan district attorney's office Thursday morning ahead of expected criminal charges against him and the company in connection with alleged tax crimes, his attorney told CNN.
  10. Do you have it? I had the opportunity to to be a beta tester a few months ago, but it didn't make sense at the time.
  11. His signature is on some of the checks to Cohen that were used to pay off Stormy Daniels. Cohen was charged and sentenced (in part) for that scheme. Trump is just as guilty. But you are probably right, he likely won't face charges in relation to the Cohen matter. Even though he should.
  12. Is Weisselberg willing to take the fall for Trump? Especially since Trump cannot protect him or pardon him. I wouldn't doubt that he will try and make a deal with prosecutors in order to reduce his charges, or stop new charges from being brought forth.
  13. WSJ News Exclusive | Trump Organization and CFO Allen Weisselberg Expected to Be Charged Thursday WWW.WSJ.COM The Manhattan district attorney’s first charges in the three-year probe will focus on alleged tax-related crimes at the former president’s company.
  14. Fun fact: All chaps are assless. So why do we as a society refer to them as "assless" chaps?
  15. Is Bernie Sanders guilty of spreading hate speech then? Suspect in congressional shooting was Bernie Sanders supporter, strongly anti-Trump | CNN WWW.CNN.COM James T. Hodgkinson, the man identified as shooting a Republican member of congress and four others on Wednesday morning, was a small business owner in Illinois who defined himself publicly by his firm support of Bernie Sanders' progressive politics -- and his hatred of conservatives and President Donald Trump.
  16. Many of you ITT have said awful things about people or groups - including the fact that you would like to kill them, or at least see them be killed. It's also interesting that many of you support the creation of laws that would make those words illegal to say. I always knew liberals were not actually for freedom of speech, and this is just further proof. A bunch of fascists on the CEB.
  17. Shit I just signed into my linkedin account for the first time in like 5 years because my professor asked me to join her network.
  18. We would regularly experience brutal temperatures on the aircraft carrier while on deployment. On top of the fact that we'd be doing circles in the Persian Gulf in the summer, the engine room had no air conditioning. Instead, it had ventilation ducts that would draw in outside air. If the outside air happened to be 110 degrees, then that's the minimum temperature in the engine room. Add in all of the steam power equipment, it was usually much hotter. At our feed pumps (steam driven), I regularly saw temps in excess of 130 degrees. You could drink a few gallons of water while on a 4 hour watch and not have to go to the bathroom once.
