  1. South Carolina (at least when I lived there) you could pay an upfront fine when you registered your car so you didn't have to get insurance. Most of the states I've lived in, aside from New York, have not done safety inspections on vehicles. They may do a VIN inspection when you first register your car, but after that, you just have to pay the registration fee when it's time every year.
  2. I'd like for it to miss the space coast, because SpaceX is currently building their gigantic next generation rocket in a field in Cocoa FL.
  3. It was my wife's birthday yesterday so I didn't pay much attention to the news. We went out to a comedy club last night. Ironically enough one of the acts brought up mass shootings, but he didn't mention this latest one. I couldn't do the joke justice, but it was pretty topical, funny, and sad all at the same time.
  4. It's because there is no more morality in government!* *please pay no attention to the President doe. He is exempt from being moral.
  5. That guy's tweet series just confirms the meme/trope about right wingers.
  6. Even Uncle Joe Biden agrees that you should protect yourself with a shotgun via negligent discharges!
  7. Well it was a vassel state of the EU. Now it can be a truly independent (failed) state!
  8. Trump will kill two birds with one stone: Hit the hurricane with a nuke WHILE it is over Puerto Rico!
  9. If everyone is a valedictorian, then nobody is a valedictorian.
  10. We should also eliminate any GPAs in excess of 4.0. Just because you took an AP (advanced placement) class doesn't mean you should get bonus points for doing it.
  11. How many stops does the Shanghai to Beijing train do in between? One of the reasons why the California "high speed" train project is going to be so slow (if it ever gets completed) is because it stops so often. If there was a direct Las Vegas to Los Angeles train with no stops in between, that would be awesome. But you know there would ulimately be stops in Baker, Barstow, Victorville, San Bernardino, Riverside, Anaheim, and finally Los Angeles proper. A theoretical 2 hour trip would take as long as just driving the same distance.
  12. Just imagine if the nuke didn't actually cause the hurricane to not dissipate. The fallout would get trapped in the vortex and come down as radioactive rain over the East coast. Make sure you keep your iodine tablets in your medicine cabinet!
  13. So we got Joe Walsh, a hard-line (but with morals) Republican, and Bill Weld, a centrist (but with morals) Libertarian/Republican, running against Donald Trump, a chaos theory (with no morals) pussy grabber.
