I dunno. That probably wouldn't fall into whistle blower territory in my opinion. It would have to be something promised to another leader for personal gain, or at least illegal behavior. Simply promising Russia you'd stay out of Russia's affairs in Ukraine doesn't seem like an illegal move to me. Dick move? Sure. But not illegal. We make those types of agreements all the time I would imagine.

It's the perfect set up for the GOP to go after Democrats though: "They do want to take your guns". Any waffling there may have been with conservatives and gun owners about voting for Trump, as repugnent as he is, will all fade away if the Democrats run on a confiscation platform. Do they not remember what happened in 1994?

The real killer

What's crazy to me is that not a single Democratic candidate (AFAIK) has argued for ending the war on drugs. The war on drugs is what has fueled gun violence over the last 4 or 5 decades. Ending the war on drugs and investing heavily into inner cities will have more impact on gun violence then confiscating AR-15s.

Betos not going to win the nomination, but if whoever does become the nominee adopts confiscation as a platform, Trump will win in 2020.

It's been 20 years. I've kept in contact with 5 or 6 of them on Facebook and in person when I visit back home, but it will be interesting seeing people I haven't seen since 1999.

Innovation has led to tinctures and edibles, etc. that open the door to people who may be put off by smoking marijuana, which is a good thing. They may want (or need, in the cases of medicinal reasons) the benefits of THC and CBD without the smoke/smell.
