  1. I started playing Wanted: Dead and it’s a pretty cool Japanese third person action game with melee and shooting combat, but it’s really hard which unfortunately ruins it for me. I play games to have fun, not to be frustrated by cheap difficulty which this game has. @Keyser_Soze @stepee
  2. I didn’t know if he was a PC gamer, or not. You know that I’m the list king. The Xbox and Xbox 360 were a couple of my favorite consoles, I played tons of games during their generations. I’ve had Control in my backlog for a while now, and you just convinced me to play it sooner rather than later.

  4. Arcade Paradise Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
  5. I’ve been playing Dark Messiah Might and Magic: Elements, it’s a linear medieval fantasy first person action adventure game with melee combat and platforming. It’s not a great game, but the pacing is good and it’s kind of fun.
  6. If we don’t hear anything about a PS5 Pro by next year then chances are that there’s not going to be one. A re-imagining of Syndicate would be more than just its gameplay mechanics, but I understand what you’re saying. There’s definitely room for two types of Assassin’s Creed games (old and new), and I might even still like the old type now if the time periods and settings were different from any of the previous games and offered the choice to play as either a male or female character like in Syndicate (Evie Frye ), Odyssey and Valhalla. Or even just having a female main character for a change would be nice.
  7. New Edge of Paradise let’s go! @Keyser_Soze
  8. I started playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (which I played and finished back when it originally came out) because I was in the mood for a third person action RPG which we unfortunately don’t get a lot of anymore. I always felt that this was an underappreciated and underrated game, and while it’s showing its age a bit now it still has solid gameplay/combat and is fun.
  9. I didn’t really start experiencing anything aging-related until my late 40s. I still think that 33 is considered somewhat young, it’s your 40s when you’re not considered young anymore. And I don’t really consider myself old, but definitely older. However, part of that’s because I’ve always had a somewhat youthful look and personality. People thought that I was in my 20s when I was in my 30s, in my 30s when I was in my 40s and now in my 40s when I’m in my 50s. But unfortunately my health doesn’t match my appearance since I developed diabetes a few years back, and I’m a recent below the knee amputee. I’m taking better care of my health now, but I still don’t think that I’m going to reach a ripe old age.
  10. @AbsolutSurgen how is Mirage a re-imagining of Syndicate? Syndicate takes place in London during the industrial revolution, has two protagonists (Jacob and Evie Frye), is largely about gang warfare and focuses more of melee combat than stealth. I agree with @best3444 that Mirage looks like a re-imagining of the first Assassin’s Creed which is one of the worst games in the series IMO. Also, I don’t like Basim and have no interest in playing as him. Syndicate is one of my favorite games in the series, it’s somewhat of a departure from the games before it. It takes place in the most modern era of any of the games, has two playable protagonists and focuses more on melee combat than stealth. It has a similar design structure to the earlier games, but the feel and vibe of it is different in a lot of ways. However, I’m with you when it comes to being sick of old-style Assassin’s Creed. I much prefer the current large open world action RPG games in the series, especially Odyssey which is one of my favorite games. The next main game in the series is being made by the same team and takes place in feudal Japan, I can’t wait.
  11. You’re still a young adult, you’ll realize this when you’re 53 like me. 33 seems like ages ago. I often forget just how young a lot of you here are, I’ve known a good amount of you since the old IGN days and I didn’t realize that many of you were just teens at the time.
  12. I started playing Itorah, it’s a nice looking 2D side scrolling action platform game. It’s kind of typical for the genre, but still fun for what it is.
  13. I finished Shady Part of Me, it was a really good 2D/3D hybrid platform puzzle game with great art/level/puzzle design. However, like many indie games the story and ending were obtuse meant to be interpreted by the player which left me frustrated and unsatisfied because I couldn’t really make sense of it all. 2023 games BloodRayne ReVamped Fran Bow Little Misfortune Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories King’s Bounty II A Juggler’s Tale Shady Part of Me
  14. I’m playing Ghost Recon: Wildlands again, I played through it a few years ago and I got in the mood to play through it again. It’s one of the best military action games that I’ve played, it has an impressive almost photo realistic open world that’s packed with stuff to do in it. I really like the varied gameplay mechanics that allow you to be stealthy, or go in guns blazing. How you approach the mission objectives is entirely up to you, it’s completely unscripted which results in unpredictable events that play out. It’s just a lot of fun IMO.
  15. What games have you been playing over the years, because you haven’t played some of the best games that have come out IMO. Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider are just as good if not even a little better than Tomb Raider (2013), Batman: Arkham City is the best Batman Arkham game IMO, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is one of my favorite games of all-time and the Mass Effect games are easily some of the best RPGs ever. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is one of my favorite RPGs, but it’s kind of dated now. I’m surprised that you haven’t played it, but I’m surprised that you haven’t played a lot of the games that you listed. There’s so many great games that I feel like you’ve been missing out on.
  16. From your list I would recommend playing the following: Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Batman: Arkham Knight Bloodborne Borderlands 3 Call of Duty: WWII Control Darksiders III Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Dishonored 2 Dragon Age Inquisition Dying Light The Evil Within 2 Ghost of Tsushima God of War God of War: Ragnarok Horizon Zero Dawn Immortals Fenyx Rising Journey to the Savage Planet The Last Guardian The Last of Us Remastered The Last of Us Part II Life is Strange: Before the Storm Mass Effect Trilogy Metro 2033 Metro Last Light Metro Exodus Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Ni no Kuni: Revenant Kingdom The Outer Worlds Persona 5 A Plague Tale: Innocence Prey Rage 2 Rise of the Tomb Raider Shadow of the Tomb Raider Tales of Berseria Uncharted 4: A Thieves End Valkyrie Chronicles 4 The Witcher III: Wild Hunt Yakuza 0 Yakuza Kiwami Yakuza Kiwami 2 Yakuza 3 Yakuza 4 I would also recommend playing the following if you haven’t: Fallout 4 Ghost Recon: Wildlands GreedFall Mass Effect Andromeda Nier: Automata Ratchet & Clank Red Dead Redemption II Sakuna of Rice and Ruin South Park: The Fractured But Whole Titanfall 2 Trials of Mana Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Until Dawn Yakuza 5
  17. It’s full open world but not overwhelmingly large like something like Skyrim, and it’s kind of funneled how you travel to different areas instead of just being able to go in any direction that you want right from the outset. And you can’t go to some areas until you progress in the story. Basically, it’s a little more condensed, directed and focused than something like a vast open world RPG.
  18. No, not really. It’s pretty much a reboot with only some occasional small references to the previous games. Days Gone is one of my favorite last gen games, it’s extremely underrated IMO.
  19. But the PS5 Pro will be a lot more powerful than the Steam Deck. The community here already provided me with most of the money that I need to buy a PS5 with which was originally given to me to buy a Switch OLED with back when I was in the hospital and rehab. However, I would rather wait and get the PS5 Pro which will most likely be out next year. All what games? There’s still not that many current gen only games that I’m interested in, but there will be by the time that the PS5 Pro comes out. I currently have like 900 PS4 games, so I’m good for now.
  20. I didn’t know that, I thought that even the partner characters were all male just like in Final Fantasy XV. In that case, I might check it out.
  21. They would be better if they were action games with female protagonists, the Final Fantasy games have been nothing but sausage fests lately.
