  1. It's too bad the game came out right at nomination cut off time for Game Awards. It technically qualified by date but because it was out the last day most outlets said they didnt have proper time to consider it. Regardless its supposedly selling big so far which is great. Hugely out performing EAs projections.
  2. @ARZ Other Free Star Wars Games were Republic Commando, Jedi Knight:Jedi Academy, and the original Battlefront 2
  3. Nope. Only Star Wars games I really remember are Rogue Squadrons and the more recent Battlefront 2 campaign. Maybe a few of the old SNES games as well, but not much since. This game just had all the elements of a game I really love. I plan to tackle some other Star Wars games in the orders of their release. KOTOR and the other back compat Xbox game, the Commando game I'll try next.
  4. I 100% the game a few days ago, and really miss it. I loved exploring in the game, the world design and just finding whole new huge areas when you thought you'd seen it all was really great. It was by far my favorite Star Wars game ever. I hadn't played KOTOR yet though, which seems to be most people's favorite. It did get me more into the Star Wars Universe though, and I plan to play KOTOR now and try some of the other games I've missed as well.
  5. I probably put in roughly 30 hours total, but I basically 100% the game on hardest difficulty with no googling any secrets or anything. If you stick to mainly the story, probably 15-20 hours.
  6. Just finished the game. Easily one of the best and most memorable ending sequences in any game I've ever played. Absolutely loved it. If you are a Star Wars fan, you definitely should play this game.
  7. The respawning enemies are to preserve the difficulty, and create skill checks almost. You cant cheese the system by clearing an area, going back and getting all health over and over as needed to keep progressing. It's a large part of what makes Dark Souls what it is. You have to get good enough to progress past areas with their current layout. I really like the system.
  8. I agree buying it now makes no sense at all. Trust me I know cause I preordered the Founders edition and semi forgot about it until I got a shipment notification. I prob wouldve canceled. I didn't know they weren't offering the service to everyone yet.
  9. You have some info wrong. The Founders Edition is $130. I think those include the Controller, Chromecast Ultra ($60), Complete Destiny 2 game, and 3 months of Pro with a 2nd code for a friend. I know they have a Premiere Edition but not sure what that includes. Those are optional packages. You don't need Stadia Pro. No sub is needed at all, you're just limited to 1080p 60fps stereo audio if you use the free option. You also only need a Stadia Controller and a Chromecast if you're going to stream on a TV. Then the question about buying games. I personally think they really need a Game Pass type service with instant access to stream that big library. I dont think I'd buy any games off Stadia that I can get elsewhere. So if you want to play it on a PC, Tablet, ect the only cost is the game. You don't need Pro a controller or a chrome cast.
  10. I've only played the first Dark Souls game, but I can't really imagine how this game feels anymore spongy than those games. No individual enemy takes many actual hits. Even playing on Grandmaster, I've felt pretty OP for awhile now. I've been enjoying this game way more than I anticipated though. I'm not much of a Star Wars fan, but playing this has made me want to rewatch the movies. The exploration I feel is way better than the Tomb Raider series, and the puzzles are just the right difficulty to make you think but not drive you crazy. Then if you do like to collect things, I like how it breaks down each section of the map to let you know how many chests/secrets/scan-able items there are in each section. I'm 99% done on Kashyyk, and that 1 last echo or whatever it is I'm missing is driving me crazy though. I hope they support this game with DLC's, I think it'll sell well enough to warrant it. It's the type of game I don't really want to end right now.
  11. Are there any other games that do the Time Travel, affect the future based on choices you make in the past, the same way Chrono Trigger does? I know there are a lot of games now with decisions you make that affect story, but do any deal with time travel, and being able to alter time in the past to greatly change the future? It was such a cool mechanic, I replayed Chrono Trigger so many damned times due to that.
  12. I dont remember from the initial announcment. I think Stadia Pro allows you to play "4k 60fps", and regular Stadia limits you to 1080p. I do think they promised a Free Games Library each month as well kind of like PS+ and XBL Gold, but obviously at launch that's pretty limited. I could be wrong though. Edit - Yup Stadia Pro - $9.99 a month. Resolution: Up to 4K Frame rate: 60 FPS Sound: 5.1 surround sound Buy games whenever you want: Yes Additional free games released regularly: Yes, starting with Destiny 2: The Collection Stadia Pro-exclusive discounts on select game purchases: Yes Free Stadia - Resolution: Up to 1080p Frame rate: 60 FPS Sound: Stereo Buy games whenever you want: Yes Additional free games released regularly: No Stadia Pro-exclusive discounts on select game purchases: No
  13. So if you have Stadia Pro you dont have access to the library? You buy the games separate? Are there monthly free titles like XBL Gold or PS+?
  14. Chrono Trigger is one if my favorite games of all time, and I remember this game being a huge let down when i played it.
  15. There's been 2 points so far where I was "stuck" due to the puzzles. Only thing that bugged me was i wasnt sure if I was missing a skill or I was just missing something with the puzzle. Once I figured them out though its always, how did I not realize this earlier. They aren't hard puzzles, but enough to make you think. Also, I want a BD-1 Droid to decorate my gaming room with. I love that little guy.
  16. I'm pretty sure I use stims sprinting and dodging around pretty often. I've never had an issue getting heals off.
  17. I'm not too big into Star Wars. Is there somewhere in the story that explains why Jedi dont use blasters? I know Luke did but he wasnt really a trained Jedi. Cant recall if they did in Ep 1-3 when they were actual Jedis. I know it wouldn't really fit the combat of the game, but seems odd we wouldnt grab a blaster and use it at times. Wasnt sure if it was part ok Star Wars lore that Jedi wouldnt use them, or just a game decision not to have them for gameplay reasons.
