I think you have to account for 3rd party games as well. Cyberpunk is going to be releasing right at launch, Valhalla, most likely a new CoD, Watch Dogs will be a few weeks old, Marvel Avengers will get a PS5 upgrade, Destiny 2's big content update is around launch window, ect. Add in whatever Sony has coming from its 1st parties, like Spiderman, the deal for Godfall, and maybe even Demon Souls, I think it's fair to say that's much stronger lineup than PS4's. I have no idea what PS1/2/3 launched with though. Xbox claimed they had 50 "New" Games coming this year for Series X. I know quite a few will be smaller indie projects, but I think thats far larger number than Xbox One launch that had maybe a dozen total?

I was thinking of buying Control after hearing so much good stuff about it, but yeah, now I'll just wait until its like $20 on a sale.

Most believe its a timed exclusive for both Sony and Epic Games Store I believe. Will have to wait to see impressions on it. Gameplay looks okay but hard to really judge the game with what we've seen so far. Also looks incredibly linear, which I'm not sure would be as welcoming these days in a Looter for me. Avengers hopefully can scratch my loot game itch for awhile, so I can wait for Godfall updates. Hopefully Godfall supports crossplay/cross progression from PC to consoles. I still have to played so many of my Souls likes, but Demon Souls at launch would be huge for PS5. The footage looked fantastic, and the genre and series is so popular. Still haven't heard much about the Bloodborne PC port that Jason Scheierer reported on once, I figured we might have heard something about it or a 60fps version for PS5. As of right now I'm probably gonna hold off on a launch PS5, but still unsure. Launch lineups don't matter as much to me because I have so much I still want and need to play from this gen. The biggest reason I'd get a PS5 at this point is if their "Boost Mode" for their back compat titles is significant for games like God of War, HZD, Spiderman, ect. I still need to play those and if they play at double framerates or higher performance, I'd probably upgrade at launch.

I have a i9-9900k and 2080ti, playing 1440p Ultra settings and its mostly smooth, but in highly dense areas and cities I do get big drops.

Spent some time in it today, and really blown away by the tech. I'm kinda curious, can Microsoft safely use NFL logos? Also has a Papa Ginos ad at Gilette Stadium. Are those copyrights and trademarks not matter for a game like this?

I think the point is, even if they have a listed target price, that's subject to change regardless, and probably listed as the highest possible outcome. If it's not been publicly announced, it's because they still want to be able to potentially adjust it. It may end up being $600. Yesterdays Hot Chips presentation highlighted that it was more expensive to produce than the Xbox One or One X's chips were at the time, and those were both $500. No Kinect this time around as well though. So either they eat some more of the cost, or potentially $600.

That tweet references the same thing as the article did. It's possible it's the initial target for a price, but doesn't mean it is the final price they go with. I'd still bet $500 tops for both.

Whoa a coop mode coming to a Sony game? Very interested in this update. 4 player coop can be amazing in this game. Did not expect this kind of update at all for this game. Very pleasant surprise. Better be giving us a PS5 upgrade too. If this is well done maybe enough to push me to upgrade to PS5.

Yeah I actually didn't know they had remade some of these older classics playable for PS4. I'll have to dive into that list sometime and see what else I may have missed from back then.

If it's downloadable, it means they adapted it and basically re-released it for PS4, and you can purchase it for PS4 separately I believe. It's not only available through PS Now at that point. It's up-rendered and has other enhancements for PS4.

That's because its a PS4 game. Only PS4 games can be downloaded. I think I have GoW3 already so I don't need PSNow for that one.
