  1. Thats kinda where I'm at. As I said before, Division and Destiny at launch I'd argue were in a worse state. Now Bioware had those learnings to work with so Anthem shouldn't have repeated those mistakes, but I think Anthem could make some basic fixes and get more content out and be a drastically improved game.
  2. Yeah I read their response, it was as cookie cutter mundane just basically saying, we are looking at what we did wrong, know we can always improve as a company, but don't want to partake or comment on things that are putting the blame at certain peoples feet. What else would you expect them to say, yeah the Director that took over was garbage and ruined this game. I feel like I didn't really learn anything much reading that though, as most of those things were fairly easy to assume were issues just by playing the game. Hell they don't even have cosmetics to sell yet probably cause they are just trying to get the game working as intended.
  3. Ultimately it sounds like Casey Hudson left at the worst possible time, and his replacement just wasn't up for the job of leading a brand new project.
  4. A lot said the same about the Division when it first released and Massive and Ubisoft stuck with it for years, it wasnt until a year or two later people finally started to say it was in a good place. When you beat the first Division, all there was to do was go into the Dark Zone or do the daily Challenging Mission, then the Incursion which was terrible. It was in a terrible place, and they stuck with it. The core gameplay in Anthem I still feel is amazing, the world it beautiful and fun to fly around in. There is a lot to fix for sure, but I hope they stick with it and can get it to a good place.
  5. Not if you haven't played it, if you haven't started to download it right? Pretty significant distinction I'd think. Xbox allows you to refund the item if its within 2 weeks of purchase, and you've played less than 2 hours of the game. Or at least that's what it was, unless they've changed it. Steam also allows you a certain amount of game time while still being able to request a refund I believe. I don't use many other services, just knew of those 2. I remember a few years ago when MS announced this people brought up it was nice they were catching up to steam, and I'm pretty sure that was 2/3 years ago now. So hearing Sony allows you to cancel a preorder just now, was pretty shocking. Bought a game a few days ago.... So yeah, MS has had an automated Refund that will let you refund within 14 days and 2 hours for like 2/3 years now. I did just get $99.99 refunded to my account for Division 2 Gold Edition cause I wanted to upgrade to the Ultimate Edition.
  6. Still crap compared to most refund policies right? I mean you couldn’t cancel a preorder before?
  7. The Brand Sets have basic bonus’s, where as Gear Sets I’d expect will be a little more unique and cool bonus stats for having a set.
  8. I dint know what half the stuff you’re talking about is. How do you get the Exotic stuff? Like I need 250 of something to craft the 2 Exotic Blueprints I have. Is that what you’re referring to. I gavejt googled any info on the game so I feel like I maybe missing a lot. Also Lvl 4 Checkpoints are just dumb.
  9. Yes do not open a cache if your in a friends game that’s lower level. Learned that the hard way. I dropped a bunch of 450 gear for Tomcat yesterday when he had just hit 30. It’s pretty easy to level up a friend just by having them join your game for a bit.
  10. I dont disagree. They put so much content into the game, its almost over bearing. Lots of way to attain end game loot. I really hope they nail the Raid, and requiring 8 players is a gameplay requirement due to puzzles and other aspects rather than just being like, ahh we beat Destiny's 6 player raids.
  11. Like I said, the "End Game" is pretty damn quick and mindless. I spent all of like 30 minutes in each Tier not doing missions before advancing. I have mainly been doing Dark Zone now that I hit Tier 4 to try to get as high a rank as I can.
  12. That’s a fair point I haven’t played much on Tier 4 yet so haven’t got to try the “Challenging” difficultly stuff yet. When you say you get the best gear is it just more Golds dropping or is it higher gear score/unique talents on the items. Cause it seems I’m leveling up my gear fairly easy just retaking control points. I’ve done some Lvl 2 control points and didn’t even think of it as any harder than normal yet. I’ll try some Lvl 3, is that the highest?
  13. Thats what i mean though. If you can switch on special ammo at any time it then gives one player a substantial advantage over the guy not using it. I mean I guess they could just shut it off completely though in PvP. Not sure if there are any containers in the Dark Zone to pick up special ammo. They first game had so many variables in it that it seems they wanted to semi simplify things this time around. Hence why all attachments are now presets instead of each having their own rolls. It just makes balancing things much easier for them I'd think. On a side note, I hit Tier 4 earlier. "End Game" if you call it that feels far easier to me than early game did. I know my character is much more built up than he was with gear, but I dont find the gameplay mechanics of the Black Tusk any harder than the regular enemies, hell I may find them easier cause they don't seem to rush like the other factions do. I've been a bit let down cause the whole Tier 1-4 adventure feels absolutely no different from a gameplay feel cause even though enemies are slightly stronger, my character is always the same strength in comparison. They jumping up from Tier 1-4 was so quick as well, just do a few control points, collect the drops to upgrade your gear scroe, then run the missions get more gear, then run the Stronghold. It was all pretty easy and super quick. I spent like no time in each World Tier that they all feel like an after thought. Now that I'm Tier 4 I'm trying to get gear to get up near Max Gear Score then I can start focusing on actually making builds again. Even with just throwing on a hodge podge of items with no chemistry or synergy to maximize a build, I still ran right through all the "End Game" so far. I threw on purples, whatever gun combos, anything, whatever had the highest gear scores, and just easily did all the End Game. So for as much hype as this games getting, I think its a bit overblown in that regards. I still an enjoying the game a lot and compared to most in the Genre it definitely does things way smarter, but now that I'm almost at Max Gear Score, I may be about done until April 5th. I'm pretty sure as soon as Tier 5 unlocks, better gear will again start dropping with higher numbers so everything I waste my time collecting now will be discarded. I'll prob spend most of my time in the Dark Zone leveling that up.
  14. Fairly certain the changes were more for the Dark Zone and PvP, cause using the different ammo types gave huge advantages, and they are really trying to make it as even a playing field as they can in the PvP zones.
  15. You can swap talents of same types of items. So same weapon type youcan swap talents, chest piece to chest piece, helmet to helmet, ect.
  16. You’re far off from getting end game stuff. Lvl 30 drops 250 gear score items, you’ll be going for 400+ Gear Score stuff I’m assuming in the different world tiers.
  17. The missions themselves are far too easy, fighting in the open world is harder though cause I feel like more often random groups of enemies will run in behind and surprise you. Its not a draw distance thing for me, just simply being overrun by a lot of enemies from all angles. Just got to World Tier 3, did the Captial Building Stronghold solo, felt rather easy. Ive been running Drone and the little heal packs. I like that I can send the drone out to distract enemies or force them out of cover, and it allows me to run around more freely to flank. Weapons I just kind use whatever I pick up that is best. Lately been LMG/AR combo. Running the Crossbow specialist. No clue what the masks are you speak of, but I guess I'll start plugging away at Tier 4.
