  1. NATO condemns clashes in Kosovo, 25 KFOR troops injured, 3 critical WWW.EURONEWS.COM Serbia also slammed NATO-led peacekeepers stationed in neighbouring Kosovo for their alleged failure to stop "brutal actions" by Kosovo police against ethnic Serbs. Wade explain, I'm an idiot when it comes to the Balkans. Also some of the shoulder patches are 101st Airborne.

  3. Maybe because I've been gaslit so many times, but stories like this where policy is ignored are so infuriating. One Google search could have avoided all of this. Hertz apologizes after refusing rental to Puerto Rican | CNN Business WWW.CNN.COM Hertz has apologized to a Puerto Rican customer after one of its employees refused to rent him a car he had paid for in advance because he did not show her his passport.
  4. Yes, based Brandon. But, am I the only one who thinks the slow rolling of various systems is getting old? We were always going to give them tanks, patriots, now fighters.
  5. Awesome. The more open architecture stuff like this is the better since individual need is so individual. My chair's joystick is able to connect to my PC and phone via bluetooth and serve as a mouse. Game changer for me.
  6. Opinion: Medicaid work requirements are a terrible idea | CNN WWW.CNN.COM House Republicans voted last month to rip away health coverage from hundreds of thousands of people when they voted to impose work requirements as a condition of eligibility for Medicaid, writes disability advocate Mia Ives-Rublee. She says that if the measure – which is part of the roiling national debt ceiling debate – becomes law, an estimated 600,000 people would lose coverage. One of the brain dead things the GOP is demanding. It's so bad it's actually a work disincentive for people like me since simply getting a doctor to say I can't work is way easier than whatever half baked reporting system they implement. It also massively incentivizes fucking Guardianship to get the parental caregiver exception, Guardianship is something the disability community has been trying to scale back (public schools have a bad track record pushing Guardianship on transitioning disabled youth). NC is about to put it into law that Judges have to prove alternatives don't work before granting Guardianship.
  7. Given how much of state and local government is funded by the feds, I don't think people fully appreciate how bad it could get.
  8. Prigozhin offered to give Russian troop locations to Ukraine, leak says - The Washington Post WWW.WASHINGTONPOST.COM Yevgeniy Prigozhin offered to tell Ukraine where Russian troops were located if they pulled back from Bakhmut, where Wagner mercenaries were taking heavy losses Bahaha
  9. This guy is more likely to become Rittenhouse 2.0 than convicted. Convicted or not the left's level of energy to fix the systemic problems will be near zero.
  10. Time on their resume, plus which congressional office is going to hire them in the middle of the term?
  11. They can't, if someone sells an AR-15 in NY, gets arrested, federal courts will throw out the case. Enforcement of the ruling doesn't require the federal government to do anything.
  12. The term has to originate from and be accepted by that community before it should be used by anyone else. I've mentioned this before but years ago people, probably started with a few disabled people but was spread by non disabled progressives (who broadly have a real ableist problem imo), tried to push Differently Abled on us. The disability community VERY firmly and loudly came out against it because we knew progressives would start using it, and as a result harm an identity we've been building for decades. Until a community itself starts using a term broadly, white progressives using it and willing it into the culture has an imperialist vibe to it.
  13. I recently moved to a large city and had lunch today at a popular outdoor spot with a lot of people, I couldn't help but think this great and fun place, wasn't safe. I know the odds are tiny, but it's something that was just there in my mind.
