  1. I don't make enough money to have my own place in the part of town I work in. But honestly, I kind of like it. It's a 9 bedroom house with 2 kitchens and all the bedrooms are big enough that everyone can have their own space, so it's not like we're tripping over each other. The only problem is things like freezer space and laundry. I'm thinking of trying to buy a house next year or the year after, but until then I don't mind living with a bunch of people.
  2. I mean, it's not good. Only so much freezer space in the house. With 8 people living in one house (sometimes 9), storage place kind of starts to get cramped rather quickly. We have 3 full refrigerators and two mini fridges. Or maybe 3.
  3. Hm.. I used a dirty plate from yesterday to not dirty any MORE dishes, and I did fold it like a taco for about the last 1/3 of it. Yes. Now I know what to make for my dad on his birthday.
  4. This whole lockdown at 10pm thing is starting to wear at my waistline. I get off work at 10, no restaurants or grocery stores are open anymore, the options are 1) postmates fast food that costs $25 after all the fees and shit, or 2) get something from the gas station. Either way I'm going to feel like shit in the morning. I mean, I guess I could buy groceries to actually make food, but I end up throwing so much of it out.
  5. accidentally posted this in the wrong thread I'm starting to focus more on the Senate races in georgia. I've noticed, outside of lindsey graham, republicans in the Senate are divided in how they're treating Trump. Some, like Romney, seem like they're leaving him behind. Mcconnell seems like he's playing both sides. They basically have to decide whether they think georgia flipped blue because A) there are actually more democrats that voted, or B) are there a bunch of Republicans who just voted blue (or libertarian) because they don't like Trump. They have to pick one of those lanes. It's like they either have to double down on the Donald or distance themselves from him. I'm really interested to see the rhetoric we see over the next couple months.

  7. Do you think large theater chains will be created again? Like, I live in Portland, pretty much all megaplex cinemas were Regal, except for one in beaverton and a couple in Vancouver. I wonder if the whole industry will hit a reset button. A whole bunch of smaller theaters are going to open, then over the next decade or two they'll gradually get bought up by new large chains.
  8. I have this weird thing that I absolutely cannot just jump back into a game without starting from the beginning. Same thing with TV shows. I only revisited AC Odyssey because I hadn't played the DLC yet, but could I just simply walk back into the game with my already completed save file? Absolutely not, I had to completely start from the beginning.
  9. That's kind of why I feel bad when I start to a replay an old game, especially if it's a big 35+ hour game. It'll take me forever to finish it, and I can only play one game at a time. And I usually only play through like 2-3 games before I take a break and do some runs in The Sims or Stardew Valley. I only complete about 8 games a year, so I feel like I'm wasting time if I play something I've already completed. ... but sometimes I just want to.
  10. I'm pretty sure she would also give Democrats the technical majority, so McConnell couldn't do shit about blocking votes.
  11. I only ever focus on one game at a time, anyway (outside of things like Mario Kart or whatever). I just find this dilemma where part of me is saying "You know, you haven't played Nier: Automata yet. Or Greedfall. Or Metro 2033. You own those games. You can play them. They are there." Then another part of me is like "Yeah, no, I kind of just want to play Tales of Berseria again, it's been a couple years." Or I'll make another run in Stardew Valley or The Sims 4. I have nearly 300 hours in Stardew Valley and dear god knows how much in The Sims 4. I don't feel bad about those ones, though. They're what I play when I just need to relax.
  12. I'm in the position right now of choosing my next game. I tried Trials of Mana, I played about an hour of it like last week, and I was just like "nah." I don't know why, I'm sure it's a fun game. I might come back to it at some point. I have something like 400 games on Steam. I haven't even installed probably 250 of them. I usually kind of randomly pick which game I'm going to play next (I narrow it to a short list and then use a number picker), but you know what I want to do? I want to play Tales of Berseria. Tales of Berseria is a long game, we're talking ~100 hours. That will take up the next couple months, most likely. I have already completed Tales of Berseria. I know what happens. It's like there's this battle within myself between like "you have ALL THESE GAMES YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED" and another part that's like "yeahhh, but that other one I have played is really good, though, and it's been a couple years" Like, I just did my second full playthrough of AC Odyssey, I now have well over 200 hours in that game. I was able to justify that by the fact that I hadn't played any of the DLC yet. Same situation with the Witcher 3; I have well over 200 hours in that game now, too, and I justified it by the fact that I hadn't played any DLC. Do any of you guys ever fight with the idea of "I have all these games I haven't played" vs. "yeahhhh, but I actually want to play FFVII for the 5th time."
  13. I just think it's a hot, sexy idea because you KNOW Trump doesn't actually care about splitting the Republican vote. He just wants to get the most votes and troll everybody, so he would probably be totally down with running as an independent so he could have another book published about it. Then, with the Republican vote being split between the "I'm a racist fuck" vote (Trump) and the "I'm not a racist fuck but socialism scares me" vote (probably Romney or whoever else they get to run), the Democrats could actually field a real progressive candidate and win. I don't think any of that will happen, by the way. I don't think Trump will try to run again. BUT IF HE DID (as an independent)... mmmmm. Makes me want to nut just thinking about it.
  14. I think it just adds to the point that there's not much point to buying big games like that at launch. If the game is good, just wait until the DLC is all out, the bugs are all patched out, then play the whole experience. Except for Monster Hunter: world, where apparently Iceborne broke the fucking game.
  15. I don't mind when people say things I disagree with. It's easy to get warped inside of your own bubble. It makes me kind of miss BT.
  16. Guess I'll have to use a vpn next time I'm in Australia. (Kidding. Though I did spend a few months in Thailand a few years back where porn is illegal. VPN was a lifesaver) (Come to think of it, I might be thinking of indonesia. Or maybe both. It all blurs together at this point. But trying to get a nut in without a vpn was a struggle. Had to hit that Hong Kong server) (Not for hentai, but for regular porn. Allegedly.)
  17. Blumenauer is firmly an establishment democrat, but he has managed to keep his seat in the Portland district since 1996. He's totally okay swinging progressive when it suits him, which it often does these days.
  18. Everyone was galvanized to vote this year, from both sides. I could definitely see red voters in blue areas that typically don't vote and vice versa. The thing that surprises me is California having even more of a blue shift, and the large red shift in Texas and Florida.
  19. Right, which is why I think she would run for president. She would never win, but she would basically be like a new Bernie.
  20. Yeah, that's what I think as well. Like, if Bernie couldn't even get nominated, AOC wouldn't stand a chance. Then again, we'll see how the landscape has changed in 4 years. edit: I should mention I think it still might be interesting to see her run for president just to gauge her interest within the Democrat party. There's a growing schism within the party and I would be interested to see what the demographics are like in 2024.
  21. Mittens himself will be 77 in 2024. It would be crazy if, in this day and age of all times with our tweeters and facetagrams, we just keep electing 70+ year old white men.
  22. I think AOC is planning that, judging from her tweets. I'm thinking we might get something like Mittens vs. Harris. It would be fantastic if Trump ran as an independent.
