For now. There's a runoff election in georgia that could flip it to 50/50. However, I'm not sure what the majority rules are, since the Dems would still only have 48 seats (bernie and angus are independents). So it's possible that we get a 50/50 Senate but mcconnell still could do his veto fuckery and keep anything from coming to a vote? Not sure.

General Gaming What should I play next: Witcher 3 vs. Ghost of Tsushima

I don't think there has been an open world RPG that has really nailed challenge vs. character progression yet. Like, I just finished a playthrough of AC Odyssey, where every enemy levels with you, and once you hit level 50+ and every enemy is either your level or higher, while at the same time your gear is always a couple levels lower than your actual level, it starts to feel like the game is punishing you for progressing. The Elder Scrolls games are similar (Oblivion was especially bad at nerfing special equipment if you got them too early in the game) I'm not sure what the right solution is, but I don't think anyone has figured it out yet. -
I always figured that Texas would become a battleground state, but I thought it would be like... 2030, not 2020. You can even tell the way the Democrats campaigned there. It was like a couple months ago they were like "wait.... what? we can... win? in Texas? get the fuck outta here. CAMPAAAAIIIIGN!!!!!!" I never had hope that Biden would win Texas, but the fact that it was even a question gives me hope.

We always knew Biden would win the popular vote. He was already ahead before Oregon, California, Hawaii, Washington, and Nevada had started reporting a lot of their numbers. He'll probably get another million votes from California alone (they're still only at 64% reported). He'll probably get close to another million from Washington. He could end up getting 5+ million more votes than Trump and still lose. That's more than the population of Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska combined.

I don't know, we actually might get another relief bill passed since the republicans won (or most likely will win, it's not over yet) They were basically saying "no stimulus talks until after the election," the election seemed to go their way, now we might get some stimulus talks. Otherwise we would have had to wait until february for anything to get done. As someone who works in the service industry and worries about his job every day, that means something. Restaurants are dying left and right. A lot of them won't make it until February without another stimulus bill. A Democrat victory basically guarantees no stimulus bill. Is it worth the Republicans winning? No. But it is a silver lining.

The Republicans had an effective lead of 53-47 (2 independent Senators who tend to vote Democrat) Alabama has flipped Republican. That brings it to 54-46 Colorado and Arizona (probably) have flipped Democrat. That brings it down to 52-48. Michigan, Maine, North Carolina, and Montana are still up for grabs (I think, even though it's close, Georgia is pretty firmly Republican at this point).
