  1. I don't know much about Weaver, but Schimdt seems less combative on-air than the others. What you said makes me wonder what their specific roles are because they have a lot of passive-aggressive ads like this, and that strikes me so much as Conway and Wilson, too.
  2. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020-06-22-the-last-of-us-2-is-sonys-biggest-playstation-4-launch-ever Looks like the boycott and incel review bombs worked well. It could have sold 100% more than TLOU had the boycott not happened.
  3. These events are also supposed to showcase the breadth of what you can play, not just the best graphics. I go back to David Jaffe who had plenty of experience starting big franchises but isn't big on AAA games now. He prefers an indie VR experience where the enemy is right at your face or a zanier indie experience on a traditional controller. For someone like him, seeing these others games shows him what's beyond some of the new AAA games and many of the AAA sequels. When they announced the PS4, The Witness was the one I was most excited for. And during E3, they had a huge indie showcase. If they announced Dead Cells 2 at launch, I'd be excited. People complain when there's too many AAA games or when there are too many indies. Just get excited for what you like and enjoy the ride.
  4. Hey hey hey. Resogun was baller. I can't remember how many hours I spent on it, including the DLC. It's a terrific game. And it impressed me more visually since it ran at a smooth 60fps and the particle effects were out of this world at the time than something like Killzone or Assassin's Creed. XBO/PS4 had roughly the same lineup, plus their first party games, and it was more diverse than the PS3's launch imo.
  5. My parents are visiting for Father's Day I am treating my dad to a nice dinner. Which means I'll have little time to play TLOU2. All because he happened to help with the process of me existing, which isn't a big deal.
  6. If I've learned anything from a few of my friends lately, it's that they somehow equate things like minstrel shows with "the south" and ask why so many people hate the south.
  7. "Also related to a BIG early spoiler. If you have to ask if you’re there, you’re not." @Kal-El814 Appreciate that because that was exactly what I would have asked lol. What I love about these posts: not only do I get to play a new game, but I spend much of my time curious as to what the hell it was. *bookmarks*
  8. Gotcha. After you're done with 4, probably do some palette cleanser of a game and get then Royal if you can. It was my first Persona, and now I'm interested in the series from here on out. Kinda been the story for me this gen with several big Japanese franchises: I never paid much attention to Resident Evil, Persona or Yakuza, and now I'm all like, "Insert into veins."
  9. I feel very fortunate that things have gone well for me so far. But shit, for many others I know, when it rains, it pours.
  10. Just get Royal now, yo. I'm 75 hours in after spending around 100 on the base game. No regrets.
