  2. Since I finished Day 3 and I'm a few hours into the next day, here are some stray observations up to that point (if you're not, like, 75% into the game, don't click just to be safe):
  3. Years after pretending you owned one, yeah. But making up owning a console to prove you own everything is weird. I'd say it's odder than not buying an Xbox. Nah, before he bought one, he swore up and down he had a PS4, then years later said he finally bought one. I asked him how he finally got one if he already had it, and he said he made up owning one to win a debate. It was the weirdest thing anyone ever said to me on a gaming board.
  4. I'm not saying it's impossible. But after 2016 and hearing rumors that Melania was gonna leave Donald after her convention speech because she apparently didn't want to speak, rumors that Pence would leave the ticket, rumors that Trump wasn't even trying to win (let's face it: as unhinged as he was, he was trying to win in his own way), I'll wait until he actually does anything. My guess is that the idea might have been tossed by someone because they were tossing out a bunch of ideas as to how to move forward in the campaign, but the idea isn't actually getting any serious consideration.
  5. You've been making this argument the past seven years. Keep waiting, keep waiting, it's all in motion. I already know I'm not getting an Xbox at launch. He knows he won't. We're not huge Double Fine or Ninja Theory people. We're not Fable people, to which the sequel is the worst kept secret in the industry. I have a feeling it's more that you want people to buy an Xbox than actually thinking that their first party will win him over. The fact that people are this easily rattled by someone buying a PS5 instead of an Xbox is a little troubling.
  6. There's no tone in, "Also, my brother for the first time ever it's going to get a PlayStation Next Generation because Microsoft Studios aren't making anything he wants. At the same time I think Phil's strategy makes sense." I wasn't the one who brought up his intellect. MS hasn't shown anything for seven years. Sony has for him. This isn't that complicated. That's why I'm now saying he may be smarter than the board, and this isn't helping the case. He would have gotten the point a while ago.
  7. What sucks is that.... the movie's basically finished, right? It originally would have released earlier this month. So I'm seeing snippets that I should have seen in the context of the whole thing.
  8. Gonna buy a PS9 day one hope no one's upset "This is nothing compared to one of the fights in Raging Bull, directed by Martin Scorsese with cinematography by Michael Chapman." - Greatoneshere (sorry, blame keyser for me thinking of that)
  9. Gonna go out on a limb and say it's fine either way; I don't think he needs permission from anyone. Why is it so hard for some members to understand that he was won over this gen, he sees many games he wants and sequels/spin-offs to games that made him purchase a PS4 to begin with, and that MS didn't make a single thing he liked the entire gen? After waiting seven years and not really getting anything on the Xbox, he sees the PS5 as an easy purchase. What is odd to me is that the comment was made off-hand in a larger post about them finding their own identity and doing their own thing, not necessarily Sony's thing, yet people were so fixated in why he isn't waiting after waiting seven years and getting nothing. He'll be fine. If he wants an Xbox later, he'll get it, like... no big deal, people.
  10. The only thing they made was Halo and he couldn't even finish it. On the other hand, there was a Sony game he wanted that released each year. Seems like a pretty decent assumption he's making considering they've made literally nothing he wanted to play, but I'm sure you have a decent relationship with him and know his psyche.
  11. I remember when these companies used to trash each other. Now they'll do events together, you'll see them catching up at trade shows. I feel like there are more gamers who actually are in charge in these places now. Also, my brother for the first time ever it's going to get a PlayStation Next Generation because Microsoft Studios aren't making anything he wants. At the same time I think Phil's strategy makes sense. Sony didn't create their first party Studio by trying to be Nintendo. They're doing their own thing, Nintendo is doing theirs, and Microsoft has to find their identity.
  12. https://blog.playstation.com/2020/06/29/playstation-plus-july-games-lineup-a-thank-you-for-10-years-of-supporting-ps-plus/ Erica was an under-the-radar game released last year that I've thought about getting. Now it's a no-brainer. Seems like a 21st century Night Trap.
