Changed by pandemic, many workers won't return to old jobs APNEWS.COM There’s a wild card in the push to return to pre-pandemic life: Many workers don’t want to go back to the jobs they once had. Layoffs and lockdowns, combined with enhanced unemployment benefits and stimulus checks, gave many Americans the time and the financial cushion to rethink their careers.

Others who are thinking of running or declared are Aramis Ayala (former state attorney with network of liberal donors), Alan Grayson (progressive firebrand but was accused of domestic violence), Allen Ellison (progressive black Democrat who lost his congressional race in 2018 and 2020 but has amassed a Twitter following of 100k since announcing his run against Rubio), Stephanie Murphy (Vietnamese congresswoman who fled Vietnam and is a moderate who keeps winning her competitive central Florida district after flipping it by beating a 12-term incumbent in 2016).
  10. I should have recorded my daily challenge I did when I got back into the game. The first thing I did after not playing for a week was do a daily challenge. They gave me the shotgun to use in Biome 6. I ended up falling off a ledge several times, falling off each time because I kept backing away from the enemies when I respawned. I lost almost all my health, then was hit once, and this was within a minute of starting the challenge. Despite that, I was ranked maybe 700 from the bottom, so a lot of others had some serious and embarrassing issues with that challenge.
  11. I really don't know. It's been a while since I played RE7 and REmake (though I never was able to finish that one). And I never played RE7 in VR, though it's been something I've wanted to do and been scared to do. I guess I'd have to let it settle for a bit. I don't see why anyone who liked RE2make, RE3make, or RE7 wouldn't like this as well.
  12. R&C is big-time known for its wacky upgradable guns. I recently replayed a bunch of them (plus Into The Nexus for the first time) in anticipation of Rift Apart. Going Commando introduced upgradable weapons, Up Your Arsenal introduced 5 levels of upgradable weapons, and The Future series, starting with Tools of Destruction, introduced Raritanium as a secondary upgrade for each weapon. Something the PS4 version doesn't have since it's a re-imagining of the first game is the arena. It's been in every mainline R&C since Going Commando, but the first R&C didn't have it, so it's not in the remake either. The arena is a great place to upgrade weapons and get new gadgets and upgrades, and in many newer games, parts for the RYNO. Here's a video of getting to the arena early in the game on UYA: Rift Apart will have the arena again, which I'm thrilled to hear, though I guess it's not really a shock. Since BC with PS2/PS3 isn't a thing yet, that or a R&C Collection (or both) would be great for people to get into the series as a whole. There are R&C games on PS Now (Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One, Ratchet and Clank: Full Frontal Assault, Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus, Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty), but All 4 One is a different 4-player co-op game, and Crack in Time is the only full-length one, while Into The Nexus is basically a smaller version of a typical R&C game. If you like the upgradable weapons and how zany they are, you might really really like R&C.

  14. Jumped back into the game to get the true ending. I retrieved two sub fragments and I’m just amazed again and how good this feels. The controls are so buttery smooth.
  15. Just finished the game and thoroughly enjoyed it and all the things you could find. I just looked up how to unlock the Beneviento treasure, as that was the only one I didn't get. Still, I'm happy to see I found plenty of secret places and areas and optional stuff, so I'll have to do a second run some time!
  16. He’s also not a fan of Bethesda RPGs. Never finished Skyrim, so this would make no difference either way. Spider and the Insomniac purchase, on the other hand...
