  1. Yeah, my insurance totaled my car and sent me a check for over $1k (not sure if the other guy got paid anything by my insurance but sounds like that doesn't matter for my question). So I have to say yes, then. Okay, thanks, I kind of figured I did but what I was seeing was confusing enough that I figured it was worth making sure. Just didn't want to get fucked on answering wrong and then getting a huge price adjustment later.
  2. It's been obvious since March or April that the only real choices have always been "lock down and destroy the economy" and "keep everything open but still destroy the economy anyhow from people dying en masse".
  3. If I rear-ended someone in March but we didn't get the police involved, is that an at-fault collision for the purposes of when they ask if you've been at fault in any collisions in the past 5 years when you're doing a car insurance quote? From comparing the damage on the two cars it was obvious it was my fault but some of what I'm reading makes it sound like "at fault" has a specific technical meaning here that involves the police assigning fault, or getting a judge to rule on who was at fault. @Dodger
  4. Interesting. I'm not 100% sure whether having ulcerative colitis and being on an immunosuppressant qualifies as "Covid-related health risks" (according to my doctor, UC patients on my specific medication have been doing relatively okay if they get COVID). On the national level it's the difference between 23 million people ahead of me and 268.7 million people ahead of me. I guess I know what I'm asking my doctor sometime soon.
  5. You can say the same about a lot of the plot points in Mad Men making no sense in the age of cell phones and that was written once we already had cell phones.
  6. A good day for UltraHD: HBO Max and The Lord of the Rings will stream in 4K HDR ARSTECHNICA.COM Wonder Woman 1984 will be the first film on HBO Max in UltraHD.
  7. We already knew that just from reading your smug self-satisfied posts.
  8. On Married with Children, I think it's probably that the dynamic between Al and Peggy is a such a dated TV stereotype about married life that it winds up dragging down the rest of the show to modern eyes. Plus some other male/female dynamics stuff in the show. You don't really get jokes along the lines of men wanting to drink beer watching TV while women just want to shops for shoes any more, or dysfunctional loveless sexless marriages, at least not nearly to the extent to which I recall Married with Children leaning on that kind of stuff as a source of humor.
  9. Hop in the time machine with Bigfoot to prevent the election!
