  1. Idaho’s Anti-Handout Lt. Governor Got $300K From COVID Program WWW.THEDAILYBEAST.COM Three months later she wrote an op-ed blasting those who support government bailouts.
  2. Plus the signature being compared against is often something like a really low resolution signature pad, which may have not even been calibrated properly, that you used when providing a signature at the DMV. One time I had some test center asshat nearly refuse to let me take the GRE because of that precise problem with trying to get my signature in their sign-in book to match the one on my old NJ license. Really does wonders for your test performance to have your blood pressure spiked over stress like that right before the test.
  3. he's going to sink the Senate races for the GOP by making this another referendum on himself
  4. "a globalist John McCain" I feel like this is one of those things that only makes sense if you're deep into the Rightwing Media Universe
  5. This is why we should pay people to get the vaccine. Only pay them when they come back for the second dose
  6. 1. They're not trying to compete with Sony and Microsoft. They're happy to exist in the niche they've carved out for themselves. 2. They (mostly) don't use the hardware as a loss leader. They make some profit on it. IIRC generally not a lot of profit, but some nonzero amount of profit. Thus it doesn't really matter whether they have a GameCube or a Wii in terms of how many units they sell because they didn't lose money, they just didn't make as much money as they could have if it had sold better. But they pretty clearly prefer erring on the side of leaving money on the table instead of risking taking big losses on a bunch of unsold inventory. You can see this from how they long they were just refusing to ramp up NES Classic and SNES Classic production despite the fact that demand was high enough to sustain 2x-3x scalping prices on those items for months (years? I've lost track of time since COVID) on end.
  7. But this post required more effort than the original comment would have, you try-hard.
  8. How Iowa Mishandled the Coronavirus Pandemic - The Atlantic WWW.THEATLANTIC.COM The story of the coronavirus in the state is one of government inaction in the name of freedom and personal responsibility.
  9. Gap, Nike, L.L. Bean, Hot Topic, Newegg, and Macy's They literally told drivers to just stop picking up deliveries from those six companies. WSJ News Exclusive | UPS Slaps Shipping Limits on Gap, Nike to Manage E-Commerce Surge WWW.WSJ.COM The delivery giant recently imposed volume restrictions on Gap, Nike and some other large retailers, as the pandemic-driven surge in online shopping puts pressure on its capacity.
  10. They had a good run going making better versions of Bethesda and Biowares' games. KOTOR 2 would have easily been better than KOTOR 1 if LucasArts had actually let them fucking finish the game.
  11. I have the center and rear speakers to do it but yeah, I can't be bothered to run the wires around my apartment given how low I have to set the volume anyhow.
  12. I don't love it as much as you do, but I definitely enjoy going for big audiovisual spectacle stuff, especially since it's unrealistic for me to set up a proper home theater in my apartment. I've already gotten noise complaints from my 2.1 setup, I feel like my neighbors would break down my door if I tried to set up 5.1.
