  1. I am playing it now and loving it. I'm still early on, chapter 4 I think, but it's already looking like this could be my favorite game this year. It helps that I've been craving a good JRPG and this is scratching that itch perfectly.
  2. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/microsoft-xbox-game-pass-ultimate-3-month-membership-digital/6359375.p?skuId=6359375 Best Buy has 3 month Ultimate codes for about half off. The first two I entered actually gave me 4 months each, since MS gave me a free month for auto renew on each one. They only let you buy one at a time, though you can get a digital code and a physical card at the same time.
  3. The game is half off pretty much everywhere right now. At $30 I'm slightly tempted.
  4. This new update specifically includes the fix for the VRR judder that happens with framerates between 90 and 120hz. The first VRR fix from a little while ago enabled 4k 120 VRR, but it looked like crap in the 90-120 fps range due to the judder.
  5. I'm currently trying out an LG CX. I like it so far, though it's not as big of an upgrade over my Samsung KS8000 as I thought it would be. I have until January to return it, so I'll give it some time. The VRR is great. The 120Hz looks good, but it's not really a big wow to me.
  6. Yeah, mine are the same as before, which is to say wildly variable. I can get up to around 320mb, but it can also hang out sub 100. I have gigabit Internet and the Xbox is hardwired. I don't have similar issues with Steam or GOG.
  7. I got to checkout, then after selecting my address, and several "we're having issues" messages, they redirect me to a sold out screen. My purchase should be reserved the moment I get into checkout, not after I finish the whole process.
  8. So is instant on mode just broken? It turns on fast, but none of the background stuff works. It doesn't keep downloading and remote downloads don't start until the console is turned on.
  9. I just ordered Yakuza: Like a Dragon tonight for the Series X and I already have Cyberpunk 2077 on GOG. If I can get a PS5 on Thursday I might do more, but that's it right now. Gamepass and backlog will fill in any gaps.
  10. Best Buy called me tonight to set up my appointment for pickup, which I hadn't made because I have no clue when I'll be off work. At least I know it's extra confirmed to be there.
  11. I hated both, voted for neither. I guess it's cool that so many people on the board are happy. I'm just glad this election cycle is over, no more campains sending me texts and constant phone calls.
  12. That's exactly what I don't want. Upgrade the graphics, maybe tweak the inventory, don't take away the more pure RPG gameplay of the first one. I could lift a Geth Armiture with my biotics in one, in two you can't even lift a person if they're wearing armor, because "Now it's a shooter!"
  13. I've had them all as well. I got the OG the day KOTOR came out and all the rest on launch. I went through a few 360s, with the S model still hooked up. The VCR XBOne is in my daughter's room and the Scorpio edition X is what the Series X will be replacing.
  14. I loved the presets on the 360, I'm still disappointed every time I have to go into settings on the XBone to invert the Y axis. I'm glad Sony is adding it. This launch day online only orders nonsense is stupid. "You want a PS5 on launch day even after we totally screwed up pre orders? Congratulations, you can't have one! But, you might be able to order one to be delivered at some unspecified date in the future! Please be excited!"
  15. Did the 360 remote work with the XBO? If so it should still work. I use a Harmony and am just glad they kept IR, I use my Xbox for Bluray/4k and using a controller is obnoxious.
  16. My One X was updated to the Series X UI today. Overall I think I like the look better and it's definitely faster. The new store is 1000x better than the old one. It's much faster, looks better and game pages are much easier to look at and get whatever info you want. They also make Series X optimized games very easy to identify. They will also tell you if your device can't play the game. Looking at the Observer remake page it immediately told me my One X wasn't compatible, since it's next gen only.
