Well, I finally beat RDR2. At least, I thought I did. And then Epilogue Part 1 started so I guess I still got some game in me.

I’ve never played the games. I haven’t owned a Playstation since PS2 so unfortunately missed out, although I’m looking forward to the remake release on PC next month. I know very little about the games/world other than Joel and Ellie’s name and it’s a post-apocalyptic zombie game. All that said, I thought the first episode was incredible. The show did an excellent job of building emotion and attachment in just the first 20 minutes. I can’t wait for more.

Well, my company who has largely been recession proof up until this point, is no longer. Thankfully my position isn't being impacted, but my manager called me this morning and said a number of people on our team are losing their job, apart of a broader round of layoffs.

This has pretty much been the week from hell. I started vacation on Monday. My first scheduled vacation in nearly a year. My parents arrived from Mexico on Monday morning. They tested positive for COVID on Tuesday. My wife, son, and I all tested positive for COVID yesterday. I was so damn sick yesterday. It was so much worse than when I got COVID in November 2020. I was practically incapacitated and slept the entire day. Now we have to quarantine thru Sunday. I go back to work on Monday. My parents leave back for Mexico tomorrow.
