  1. That's not an entirely ridiculous notion to plant a seed of doubt in the mind of the jury at all.
  2. Because I don't trust the Federal government with not co-mingling the revenue intended for the trust funds with that intended for general appropriations. If there was a way to ensure that the compartmentalization could be maintained, then I'd be in favor of that.
  3. Tabletop game Star Wars: Armada has a huge release coming early next year, and not huge like significant to the game, huge as in literally very large. Armada is going to get a Super Star Destroyer 'miniature.' If you don't recall, this is Darth Vader's gigantic flagship from Return of the Jedi. It is over two feet long (More than 24 inches, 70 centimeters, etc), and it should be, because it’s going to retail for $199. 8. While analyzing sediment under Lake Chichancanab on the Yucatan Peninsula, scientists found a 50 percent decrease in annual precipitation over more than 100 years, from 800 to 1,000 A.D. At times, the study shows, the decrease was as much as 70 percent.
  9. I'm genuinely looking forward to the economic analyses in the subsequent years that will document empirically our anecdotal feeling as to the reasons this counter-intuitive situation "theoretical" full employment/anemic wage growth is occurring.
  10. As @b_m_b_m_b_m said in the Discord server, Social Security IS the correct "mechanism" for paid paternal/maternal leave, but it needs to be PROPERLY FUNDED through TAXES. Which brings me back to my now standard mantra: ELIMINATE. THE. TAXABLE. SOCIAL. SECURITY. EARNINGS. CEILING.
  11. I exist in a universe where Donald Fucking Trump is the President of the United States of America, and yet somehow this manages to be the single stupidest idea I've heard in years.
  12. “The US Congress is focusing on Russian hackers when it is possible that all of the information they needed to get into the system came from the internal breach in the Secret Service,” the source said. OLOLOLOL
