Curious why a cult classic that was multiplatform yet NEVER on a Nintendo console (until recently) made a sequel that’s exclusive to a Nintendo console.

Because the video game industry is a dumpster fire.

Also, if it's Switch exclusive then they can re-use the same engine without lowering expectations.
