The US needs more at-arms-length organizations where they are federally funded, but they have an independent mandate that legally cannot be interfered with for partisan purposes. True, but it's pretty big in that everything slowly becomes more and more partisan. Man, even just having a federal elections department would be incredible (yeah yeah, I know that won't work because elections are all state-level, blah blah...which is a top-five flaw, lol).
