Andrew Scheer resigns as Conservative Party leader after misspending revelations (and losing election to Trudeau)

It turns out he spent party funds on his kids' private education, which is not a good look after going after Trudeau on ethics issues. I mean the real reason he had to go is that an anti-abortion, anti-gay leader will not win another federal election in Canada, and the CPC insiders know this.

Glad he is out of there.  Hopefully the party can find a new leader that is electable.

 

Apparently the Conservatives were funding the difference between the private school his kids were going to in Saskatchewan, and the one they went to in Ottawa.  According to the party, it was part of their standard relocation costs and was approved within the party.

I was a peon, and my previous company paid for my private school in Brazil.  (Which was much worse than the local public school in Michigan.)
