Like most mothers, Helen was Jerry’s biggest fan and found it completely baffling that anyone could harbor negative feelings toward him. And even though Estelle was shocked that someone actually wanted to marry George, it was obvious that she loved her son.

 

Nothing can shake the bond that exists between mother and son. Not eating with your hands, not taking Jack Klompus’ beloved pen, not necking during Schindler’s List, not even treating your body like an amusement park while you’re out getting a quart of milk.

 

So we wish you a happy Mother’s Day, Estelle and Helen, as we raise a glass of this newly invented wine called “merlot.” We will forever cherish the laughs, the arguments, and your unending motherly spirit.
