Nokra
I lived in Chapel Hill for a few years and saw this statue very often, as my girlfriend at the time was doing her PhD (in history, no less) there. Whenever I saw a campus tour being given, someone always asked WTF that was still doing there and the tour guides always just had to shrug. It was described by the university as "vandalism" but I bet they won't put much effort into its restoration.
Keyser_Soze
Now they plan to relocate it in a new building they will build
Nokra
College students are against a safe space?! Ah OK, for white-supremacy. At first I thought it seems kind of crappy that the administrators can hide behind that law, but I actually think it's a good thing that they will be building a place to house these relics, because then they can be placed in their proper historical context rather than being on public display in an apparent endorsement.
